Saved by the RV

Unfortunately, the motor in the stick house died. Of course it is an "odd" size and has to be ordered. It is still in the triple digits and dogs are panting even with the fans in the house. So we'll be sleeping in the RV with A/C YEAH!!!
"Camping" in the driveway, it beats trying to find a place to stay with 2 dogs :)

Oh, Carol, aren't you glad you have backup!

How long will it take to get the a/c fixed?

Seems like that's happening to alot of people lately!

Yeah, last Sept when the winds came through Ohio and knocked out electric for 5 days....my husband noticed that the MH and generator that would have been so helpful...along with his wife and dogs...was not in the drive way....He has claimed that I always leave town when the generator might be helpful. I suggested that he could buy a generator for the house!

thanks, everyone. We're in the RV and the dogs are sleeping and not panting. I had to pay extra to get the motor here faster since I'll be leaving for CO at the end of next week. So hopefully by Fri. it'll be in. It was an unexpected big expense that I hadn't planned for :(

Seems all the expenses are big unexpected ones. But having the rv sure was helpful and saved you money this time - no motel or possible boarding for the furry friends.

Hope it does get there Friday for you. That's the part I hate the most - waiting on them - hoping and praying they come when they say. Specially when you have to be someplace.

Where in Colorado, Cat? I lived in that state for 10 years and my son and his wife are in Colorado Springs.

It's always something, isn't it? Hope the motor gets delivered and installed in a timely manner, one less thing to have to worry about on your trip. When I redid my kitchen a few years ago, tore everything out, we just moved out into the rv for 2 weeks, put our camp chairs out and pretended we were out at the sand dunes. Middle son offered to bring a load of sand to dump in the driveway so we would be more at home. Smart a$$ kid....

The weather here this summer was way to hot. The AC in the house just couldn't keep up and it's a new unit. I had fans going in all the rooms, multiple in some with ceiling fans, and it didn't help. It was 84-86 in the house, so out to the camper the dogs and I went, what a life saver. Hope your AC gets fixed soon. Linda

Thanks everyone. Hopefully the motor will here and installed on Friday. Yes, I am so glad to have the B, didn't even think about using it in a situation like this. Well, to be honest, didn't think about the a/c in the house going out.

Sparkle,
My son and his family live in Colorado Springs so will be visiting them for a few days and then traveling to Pagosa Springs for a gathering of Class Bs.
