Gone Camping!

I'm on a 13 day camping trip that started up on the St.Lawrence River,...



A favorite passtime there is watching the lakers and salties going by the campsite.



And at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Lock to see them "up close and personal!" This one is just leaving the lock upbound for the Great Lakes.



Then it was on to another favorite campground. Macomb Reservation near Plattsburgh, NY. This is the view from my campsite which is on a little bluff overlooking the lake.



I received a set of these little hanging lanterns from my son this past Christmas. They make a neat addition to the "front yard"



All set up...



Chairs are over by the fireplace waiting for company to arrive... and the campfire is lit....





We had an enjoyable evening with guests,..good friends, good talk and of course good food and drink... Still have two days here before this trip is over. So far i haven't made the peach biscuits, too hot to light the oven! (but NO complaints! we've been waiting for summer!)

Cedar, what a lovely spot. I wouldn't want to leave. I would find a way to cancel all other plans and just stay put. Enjoy it while it lasts. Linda

SNIFF!!! Wish I was there, although sky is looking ominous, and I might have to hide under a bed somewhere if thunderstorms develop!

Just came from a 'Happy Hour' with my best neighbor friend, Issy, whom I've known since I moved in here in 1977. She and her guy are home from FL in their monstrous motor home, and fixing up her rental apartments down the road from me for another year. I sure do miss having her here year 'round-----we have shared tons of events; celebrations, deaths, births, operations, philosophies, and just Happy hours over the long winter months. Sigh----better enjoy her while I can as they will head back to FL soon enough.

Looks like your new camper fits right in. It is a beautiful spot and the campfire looks very inviting. Keep us updated now that you have the card-no excuses. carold

looks like fun, I would enjoy watching the boats go through the locks, remember
watching the Chittendon Locks in Seattle many years ago although the boats
were not as big but it was still interesting.
