Morning Ava! Coffee sounds good today! I'm in Gold Beach on the OR coast. After a few days at home in CA, I headed out with Sister and Grandkids for a 10 days road trip. We are having a blast. The ocean is beautiful. And the weather is LOVELY at 60 -70 degrees. A welcome change after 112 at home! It's so fun to have a FAST connection. I'm catching up with all the news. Hope everybody is having a great day. Will check in again, hopefully with pics.

Good morning Ava, Diana, and all!

After a very rainy, nasty morning here, it's now sunny out! Temp is up to 71 with a nice breeze! Weather can't get any better than this! Am wishing I were camping somewhere other than my own yard, but oh well......it's a pretty nice campsite!

So far have just done some laundry, had coffee, read email and posts, fixed my email setup on my old computer so I can now use that, too Will hang clothes out when done, as they will dry in no time if the rains hold off for another while.

Both Molly and Twitch are out on the front deck in the sun, where I will be as soon as I get clothes hung out.

I hope you all will have a fun day and will let the rest of us know about it! Cedar must be happy to see some sunshine, as I know she is camping!

Later........from me
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning all. We have a great view from the marina outside of Rockaway Beach, OR. Seems like most everyone is packing up to travel home and we might be the only ones left. LOL This marina has been very busy, from overnighters and day trippers. Many more crabs were caught on Friday than yesterday, so that may have prompted such early leavings. Had a fun time meeting up with Laura (Cougarfan) yesterday. Sent her home with some fresh fish that DH caught. Will be driving around seeing more of this area today and then off to Astoria. Mountaingal, we stayed at Oceanside RV in Gold Beach about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Thanks for the coffee and goodies. Off to start the day. carold

Good Morning all..

I love the Gold Beach area. 4 of the kids were born in the hospital there, we actually lived south in Brookings. We had two tours there with the Coast Guard and also one in Crescent City, CA (just across the border). We went back there a 4 years ago and camped in Brookings at the Beachfront Campground. It was not our first choice, but we thought the kids would love camping on the beach. My first choice in that area would have been Harris Ranch, but there were no large sites available the week we were there.

We have the Oregon Coast on our RV bucket list.

Well I am going to continue working on cleaning out a closet today. Dh and DS 12 are going to make a dump run...off stuff that has been sitting here since we left in June. Plus we had some work done while we were gone. So we need to haul off that junk.

DD is working at church this morning, we went last night. They are short help this weekend so DD said she would come back and help.

We had quite the thunderstorm last night...but it is suppose to start clearing and then we start into a heat wave week, with temps reaching the upper 80's and maybe in the 90's.
