First Monday of December

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

First Monday of December

Good Afternoon from the snow buried 45th. Been pretty nice today with some peaks of sun. Just had a snow shower, but no biggie. NWS said that as of this morning, we have had 43. 7 inches since Thanksgiving Day. I was out with the blower for a bit. Light fluffy stuff, easy to clean up. Even managed to break a potty area open for the dogs. Put the shovel to work in my deck to finish clearing off the big drift and snow pile. So I’m in good shape here and now it’s just the usual routine from here on out. Lots of snow sculpting by mom nature there. This is a snow wave on my back fence

She added a rainbow effect to my Christmas lights on the porch

And of course she buried my house, Well, not quite

Was going to go to town but decided to wait ubtil tomorrow. Did run down to the local gas station to get some pizza slices for lunch. Not doing anything else today, other than bringing in the trash can and checking the mailbox. Road is too messy from last nights few inches and the sand mixture he spread yesterday is soft and slippery. It’s breaking up that hard packed snow on the road. They will probably be around to plow again yet today. Once they can catch up and get the main roads in good shape, then they will work on the subs and back roads.

Hope you all have a nice day. Waiting to hear from O’Sharon to see if she got any white stuff. You have snow where you are Shelia?

Wow Sue that is a lot of snow! It is snowing here right now. It hasn't covered the grass yet and I'm complaining. I don't think it is supposed to accumulate though as the weather report says it should be stopping soon. Shirl I turned my heat up but haven't resorted to my comforter yet. I have a dog beside my feet maybe I'll tuck my toes under him.

It's a rainy day here. Heard from a very old friend (55+ years) that he made plane reservations to visit for a week in January. I'm really hoping for great weather but January here is the coldest/wettest month but nothing compared to up north. Still, it would be nice if he could see more of the area. We'll find things to do, rain or shine. And I'm still loving your snow, Sue. There's a part of me that does miss that but more of me that say nope. I'll just enjoy yours.

Sue, your porch lights are pretty with the snow on them. It looks like that would burn them out. It got up to 74 again with sun. Works for me.

I headed out this morning to get my blood work done. I was at the clinic for a while waiting for them to get their paperwork done. Finally a nurse comes and tells me that the lab tech had to leave so I could come back later this afternoon or go to the hospital lab. I was thirsty and hungry so I went to the hospital lab. Decided to go to Lafayette. When I was on my way home my car jerked and I didn't know what happened. When I got to a light and stopped, when I started up the car went very slow for a ways before it could pick up speed. I was about half way between Lafayette and Abbeville. I had to decide whether to try to make it to the dealer in Lafayette where the car came from or the dealer in Abbeville. I decided to try to make it to the Lafayette dealer and get my son to come get me. The service guy said they were backed up and it would be three weeks before they could get to it. I told him I was 30 miles from home and I wasn't leaving in it so they could park it somewhere. I have about had it with that car. I haven't driven the truck in several weeks. I started it when I got home and all 4 tires need air.

I thought the new batteries in the motorhome fixed the problem I was having with the refrigerator but I was wrong. It's still switching to battery. I'm sure I won't be able to get an appointment to bring it in until after Christmas. We are eating out or have planned meals at the campout so we will survive. So far the freezer is freezing so can take frozen food.

Sue not to speak of.... still can see grass they are skiing up on Teton Pass but don't think they are on the ski areas.... all the sudden the term left me oh well you all know what I mean.. guess it's more important to get the white stuff up in the mountains as it is what melts and goes where it needs to... at least that always was what was said while living in SLC
suppose to have a repair man come tomorrow but they didn't text nor call and say what time frame... so I have to wonder did have "kid downstairs" take the stuff out from under the sink just in case and guess I ought to go empty the dishwasher... mom woke me up at almost 8 calling my name and asking if I am going to get up or stay in bed all day did that twice in 10 minutes then again an hour later I did finally get up at the time I had set the alarm for... :? her water blister did pop although it wasn't totally empty nurse wrapped it again.. and a few minutes I noticed that there is one popping out above the dressing... what causes them anyway? the nurse said she is probably carrying around 17 lbs of water weight... give or take she is eating a bit better but not that much and she is really swollen in her legs...
your pictures were really pretty Sue love the lights covered with the snow
that is too bad about your car Martha 3 weeks huh??? dd is still waiting for a battery although now it's more her problem... her son's father in law is a dealer for interstate which he would sell to her at cost... but either they didn't send it or sent the wrong one she finally decided that she would go get a battery elsewhere but to do that you need to leave the house guess she stayed home all weekend Friday through Sunday just cause which is probably a good idea as other than work it seems like she is on the go basically to go see her grandkids...
have 5 more rows or so to go on the hat that I'm making for the great niece and running out of yarn so gave a piece of yarn and hoping the correct label for it to the "kid downstairs" as he will be in IF for his days off... hoping he can find it if not I will have to figure out something what I'm not sure
you all have a great day
