Morning All. Going to enjoy another low humid day on the porch.

Just wanted to post that I travel by train to many places with “Jen Brooks”. On YouTube. Guess searching him will list his trips. I never know what I am doing so just stumble on subjects that interest me.

Thanks, Shirl. I think I found the right person. JEB not Jen, right? I see many hours of traveling virtually in my future.

No plans for today other than being lazy.

Rough drive today, even though I drove less than 100 miles. Left campground this morning and followed my GPS's instructions, but instead of taking me back to the TransCanada Hwy, it routed me on a country road "shortcut". It was shorter, but the road had absolutely no shoulders and no places to turn around. The pavement was patched in many places, plus it was one of those roads where it looks like they really never leveled the roadbed before they dumped asphalt on it. The result was one of those roads where my rig swayed back and forth, and it was so bumpy, the fastest I could drive was about 30 MPH. So how is that shorter? The route was 65 miles long, and it was primarily the first 20 miles that were horrible. Later got a little better, but then the wind picked up and kept blowing me around. I was exhausted when I got to a small town and could pull over for a break.

Plus, i apparently missed when i made this campground reservation that the sites in the full-hookup section were the kind that parallel the roadway. I put my bedroom slide out, but not the one for the living area because it would stick out too far. And to make it worse, for some stupid reason they put the water and electric on the door side, and I never could find the sewer hookup. Luckily, I am here for only one night.

Tomorrow has got to be better.

that is too bad Judy hopefully you aren''t trying to complete the transCanada highway you will have to go back and do those miles you didn't do on the highway
I did accomplish something today perhaps tomorrow I will get something else done... really need to water the inside plants some are looking sad...
it's been a windy day today a very warm windy day but it's cooling off for night time I guess...
worked on the hat still looking small I will show it to the aid tomorrow see what she thinks I decided to use a j hook and different color of yarn and see if the j hook will make a difference in the size it could be that I crochet tighter... we will see what she thinks if I can get this mock up done far enough to see if it's a better size...
I will have to look that up as well Sherl I get caught up in different pod casts and FB and don't get anything done so a bit wary of doing so...
Beth hoping you enjoyed your lazy day
made hamburger stroganoff for supper was pretty good... toyed with making taco soup but didn't have some of the major ingredients so put them on the list so next time I want to make it I can
you all have a great day

Judy, sorry you had a bad travel day. I need to order a new GPS. My old one was so old I couldn't update it any more but I could still use it. It was ok on the road but went crazy in towns. It fell off the dash on my last trip and the screen broke. I know the highways in Louisiana pretty well and have my own ideas about which way I am going so kept the sound turned off on the GPS. I got tired of it trying to keep turning me around.

Our cold front was short lived. It did get down to 74 last night but was back up to 101 today.

Another do nothing day. Never did hear anything about my phone repair. I'm not going to be happy if they show up tomorrow afternoon when I want to go to Lafayette.

I saw in the newspaper that a woman I worked with at the rice mill passed away. She was my age. That's kind of unnerving. She is the third coworker that as passed away.
