Full Blue Moon Tonight

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Full Blue Moon Tonight

I'm hoping if rain comes in this afternoon things clear up. It's supposed to be rising here at about 7:30 pm. Fingers crossed.

Another lazy day. I need to pull something out of the freezer for dinner. I'll finish off my leftovers from the restaurant on Saturday for lunch. I should probably start skipping meals. I'm afraid to get on a scale.

Afternoon Beth, and All. I’m hoping for a clear noomlit night too. My birthday week has played havoc on my hips. Lots of potato salad, pasta and rice and then there is the leftovers. Well someone has to eat them, can’t waste food. Thank goodness the local sourdough bread doesn’t affect me the same as other types. Irmi, if you are in my area, try the sourdough bread at Modern Stone Age kitchen in Chestertown, pricey but good. There a new Restaurant on KI, Tokyo Bay, good also. Hope you get some nice daays instead of Maryland humid weather. Monday is my laundry day so getting excessive walking back and forth. lol. Will start on a diet of meat and vegetables tomorrow. Sil is trying new recipes so leftover crab imperial. lol

Only drove 160 miles today, but am really tired anyway. I slept in a bit, but overall was up and down all night. Oh, most recent exciting event was getting up in the night to use the bathroom. Turned on light, sat on toilet, did business, then got up and turned around to press the foot pedal to flush it. Except right on the inside rim of the seat I had been sitting on was a spider!!! Yikes, glad he did not bite me on an embarrassing place. I grabbed to TP, grabbed him and flushed him down. I hate spiders, and some live behind the paneling on my bathroom, even though I have tried to spray between panels and at the top. Nothing like one dropping down while you are in the middle of a shower!!

Had to stop at Walmart for a couple of things, but on the way there, tire minder started screaming at me about one dually tire. So I called the local Canadian Tire store and asked if they could check my tires and add air to a couple. So only a couple of miles, but had to wait for service manager to finish his lunch, but then he had me move rig closer to garage and had guy check all 6 tires. I knew last time they were checked, it was in 90s, so now that we are in cooler temps, they would be a bit low. With all the miles I am driving, I am happy to get them checked. And while there, I also found a drivers cushion that contains gel and memory foam, so going to try it out.

Kept itching a couple of places while I was driving and when I got set up, got a mirror and flashlight out and discovered a big mosquito bite behind my knee and two almost under the heel strap on my sandals. Must have got them while walking around the fort I visited on the weekend. It was cool, and I never saw or felt bugs, but guess they were around, so am using my little heat gun and then ice packs. Ankle one was really burning, but ice helped.

Shirl, I had chicken gumbo over rice with potato salad in it. That's something people from South Louisiana do. Hate to think how many calories are in it.

I hung around all day and no one from the phone company showed up or called. I guess I will have to call them again tomorrow. I so hate to call AT&T.

We had a cold front come through and the high today was 89. The weather man said it's been 20 plus days since we had a temperature under 90. It was cloudy all day but never did rain. I think we have rain coming tomorrow.

Judy, I have been know to catch spiders in a jar and let them go outside. The ones I usually see are the little, black fuzzy ones. I don't want to be near my step daughter if she sees a spider. She goes crazy.

I took the squeakers out of Luna's two stuffed toys and washed them. They came out good. I just have to find a heavy duty needle to sew them closed.

really didn't plan to do a lot today there were some should haves they didn't happen either
when I was at the store the other day the grapes were on sale and since we have a pot luck tomorrow I got some grapes and to make sure that I had cream cheese I bought some more now to hope that the sour cream is not bad that will make me pretty irritated now to remember to take it out so it will be some what softened it's cool enough think it will be ok and to remember to get up earlier so I have time to make it..
the day sure had changes in it... dd was going to come and do laundry and attend the outing tomorrow... now she isn't had to work late and some thing is wrong with the lawn mower that she borrowed from her brother in law so her son was coming over to see if it was just clogged then I was wondering where the kid downstairs was finally text him and ask if he was going to be here for supper no working late? days off got changed... you in Idaho yes... kid of few words... if I'd known I would have done a few things differently and he let the light on down stairs... hoping mom won't notice...
nurse was here... asked if she (mom) was eating well yes when we have food... don't know what she think that stuff is that I put in front of her twice a day and have laying around to munch on is ? admittedly yesterday was different and perhaps that was the latest memory so she just focused on it... still she didn't eat all of it either... but because we ate so late for lunch I was just not in the mood to cook so heated her up some left overs and I had crackers and tuna/or peanut butter... not much of it and she still left some of it...
i didn't even work on the hat for the baby
but I did pay for my books and I did figure out a way to correspond with the gal that I bought the pompom's from she told me how to attach them so they are detachable as they aren't washable...
when do you plan on leaving for SD Beth?
How is the cushion Judy? were you tires ok?
Shirl thank you for reminding me that there is a super moon tonight.... need to go look and see if it's visible. those left over's sound yummy I am so tired of planning meals...
Barbie how is the packing going and getting stuff ready to go to see your brother...
you all have a great day
