Wednesday...Middle of the Week Day..Morning to one and all.... it's been another tuff day.. to stay on line.. Verizon is now sending me a Modem and Router combined as my one, they feel, is what's causing the issue..oh yeah and it's only 70 bucks plus tax..well someones got to do something to help this economy...speaking of which..

ShirlV...ooooh my.. sorry to hear of the cost to fix your rig..but look at it this way.. it's like buying a new one..Cost would be a lot greater..and you know "new" doesn't always mean NEW..cause we h ave that shake down that happens and we all know that feeling... Why when you buy something New does it have to be repaired. ????? but seriously Shirl, when reading it.. I do know that feeling in the pit of your stomach... So you are in our prayers for a speedy recovery ...and maybe I'll get to meet ya at the GTG...

Yes, I am doing everything I can to make it to the PA GTG.. have Acupuncture Dr to go to and we'll see what takes place.uh oh I'll be a official PIN HEAD eeeeeeek..

Mitch you started a column on Irish Steel Oats and it's blossomed into now Wheat Berries recipe...I dunno...if you read yesterday here in the coffee room .. I mentioned that my friends use it but they do it in Crock Pot the night before and wake up to a warm (they say) delicious breakfast :) Hope that helps..

Paulette..oooooh I read your trip..and your story.. of the darling X.. some how I had visions of your jeep heading home awhile back...betcha won't do that again !!!! Not unless under duress LOL sheer duress !!!! You parked in a good spot as from what I can tell.. you were dry that's for sure.. oh and those animals....now ya know we all tend to love them critters..
See "O" was certainly enjoying her time... You did good .. I know we all smiled... Oh, and I too love that butterfly chair..

Nasoosie (Soos) good pictures again.. and I can see you really enjoy taking them and those flowers .. right up close and personal... I don't think you could go ever bored where you live.. lots to do and places to see ...

Cedar I believe is out on the road with her "New" camper..and I can best believe she is enjoying every minute of it... listening to good music and I bet making her peach biscuits in the morning...can't wait to hear....

Lizzie..good to see you post..and always anxiously await your pictures...You take us on a neat journey..

Okie dokie.. it's time I begin my Coffee .. let her perk and the Kettle whistles.. Oj and Cola in frig.. and me guess is Mitch would like some Irish Steel Oats.. mmm wonder why they don't have Italian..??? LOL Ok.. come one come all .. ringing this bell here... do stop in and visit pull up a chair and make yourself at home.. Banana Nut Blueberry Bread is just coming out of the oven and for all you Southerners... Johnny cake is available.. good with lots of butter as it melts...oh oh...

May your Adventures be a Great one and your Journey always be Safe

God Bless

Good Morning Zeee and all our sisters!

I'm typing this sitting here on the sofa in my Little Girl 2,... watching the slight breeze lift the fog from the St.Lawrence River. So far this a.m. no ships have gone by the campsite. Yesterday I took my second big step,... bought a Verizon air card so I can be connected on these longer camping trips. I got the month to month plan as I'll shut it down six months a year during the winter. Working fairly well. Just have to watch my usage as I'm getting the less expensive plan.

Arrived here Sunday, and on Monday went to the Eisenhower Lock of the St.Lawrence Seaway to watch two ships go through the process of getting from one water level to another. Gravity input and drainage raises or lowers ships so they can continue on up or down river. Fascinating.

Yesterday I went with friend kathy to visit her 80+ y/o aunt and uncle in town and then back here for steak dinner. Today will be rainy so it will be hang out under the awning or inside playing scrabble, reading or .... napping!

So it's a great day here,... new camper is performing perfectly. Have decided on a few design issues such as window cranks in the farthest position .... ack,... old women can't stretch that far! a couple of other things I'll give Rockwood input on. Amazing, but after one week in the new 2010 Rockwood I already am thinking I need more room~ but this will be just fine for several years to come.... if not forever! :D

Have a great day.... yes, Zeee, pictures to follow! :D

morning all from Hershey, PA - cloudy and foggy out this a.m. according to weather - well one place says rain another sun with clouds. So guess we'll take our chances and head to Gettysburg today. We'll be here for awhile so we can always go back. Made quick trip to Chocolate World. Took the "simulated" factory tour - interesting but not what I expected. Chocolate smells were good though. Millions of kids - all screaming about something. Bought a chocolate smelling candle in a shot glass (Bill collects shot glasses so thought it would take care of 2 things at once.) And one tiny little can of chocolates - for the can not the candy. Then back to motorhome as we were having trouble with the electric breaker and they were coming to fix it. This is a beautiful campground - the 1000 Trails. BIG grassy spaces, lake, playgrounds, trees etc. Really nice. The DataStorm works for the TV but can't get our Internet to work - too many trees I think. But campground has free wifi.
have a good day everyone.

GOOD MORNING ALL!!

Grey, overcast, and misty here, but warm----about 61 degrees. I slept later than usual, as it was so dark and nasty-looking out there. BUT----no real rain so far, after a night of quite a bit of rain. No plans for today as yet, but I may head to Plattsburgh to do some shopping---heavy-duty shopping. But bill-paying first!

Lots of birds flitting around, families with grown babies now, learning how to sing and find food. So glad I mowed yesterday, as today is not the day to do it....mower would get clogged with wet grass after about two feet of mowing!

Molly and I will go for another walk, rain, or not, as I am trying to keep a bit active in spite of the broken ribs. I haven't needed any pain meds in about three days now, and can really notice an improvement. I need to buy me a lock for my trailer hitch ball so I can leave it on my truck----it's a combination ball and equalizer hitch thingy---weighs a ton, and would be easy to rip off in parking lots. So far, I haven't even tried to lift it, but hope to be able to get it onto truck before too much longer. If we ever get any decent weather, I'd love to go to Silver Lake Campsite for a few days. I was hoping to get Twitch's walking jacket first, but, althogh I called the website about it yesterday, I still haven't heard back from them. I have a sick feeling it's not a very reliable site.

Thanks for the coffee, Zee....am gonna make me some peanut butter toast on multi-grain sandwich rounds for my brunch to go along with the coffee.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning from the Oregon Coast, on the banks of the Siletz River outside of Lincoln City. We've been enjoying our saunter up the coast, watching the waves, seals, fog and large # of visitors. The beaches have been great, as well as the walks thru the woods, DH bringing home salmon and rockfish from his fishing trips and meeting people. There are 2 retired Tampa policeman staying in this campground as well as an former rodeo rider (85 years old) and wife who just can't seem to stay in their stick house for more than a month at a time. :D If possible, will try and drive to Salem to see Cougarfan. (we are moving on Friday am) Word out is that the drive there takes about an hour, but 2-3 hours coming back-especially when it's nearing the weekend and the weather is 30 degrees cooler here. Today is one of our GD's 12th birthday, so hoping we can skype-bought a chocolate muffin and candles and that she has enough breath to blow it out from her vacation spot in Tampa. Well, need to get my butt in gear, DH is ready to roll. Will have to read the posts at some point. Hasta la vista. carold

Good morning all. I've missed you so much lately but hope to be back on a more regular schedule now.
I awoke to a gentle rain and strangely quite house this morning. My house guest of 21 days left yesterday afternoon. We did manage to get thru most of her mother's things in the house but not the attic (attic is not a place one wants to be in AL during July). That portion of the task will be on her next trip. While it is nice to have the house back to myself, I did miss having someone to talk to over morning coffee.
So much catching up to do around the house, my antiques business, and on this forum - where to start???

Good Morning all...
It is another sunny day here in this section of the PNW. I have no idea when we will get rain again. I will be out watering the plants and grass today. It is rare that we have to do that, as we usually get rain at least once a week.

Older DD is going to spend the night at a friends house and the boys are all at summer camp. So it will be a quiet evening here. Maybe I can get some more pictures sorted and uploaded.

I will also be cleaning the house..it needs a good scrub down.
