Greetings from Alaska....ok, where is everybody? It's 7:30 am AK time, and that means...well, you know what it means. Coffee's all made, but that's it, so far. Let's see, what would you like? Blueberry pancakes? Got Cheerios too.

Looks like it's going to be a cloudy, maybe rainy day here. We can't complain though, because we've really been blessed with beautiful weather most of the time. Hope you are all blessed today with good weather, good health, good news, good luck, whatever your needs may be.

ahhhh, good morning, I've been out and about already getting stuff done before
it got too hot. Hopefully there will be something good on tv today, its just too
dang hot to go out or even open the door.

Good Afternoon, all!

I went to town early this morning to drop off my desktop computer for an estimate to fix it. I dropped it off, went shopping, and returned as Ray requested, to find my computer in a millions pieces all over his repair table! My HP Slimline model is built so differently from most computers that he needs to send for adapters to check out my power module. If that is dead, or if parts of it are dead, then it will cost about 100.00 to send for and install a new one. If that is NOT dead, then it's probably my motherboard that is shot (or burned out by the power thingy, or something) and so I will NOT send for any more parts. I will then start saving for a top of the line Toshiba laptop for my retirement present to myself. I am willing to spend from between 100 and 200 dollars to fix the desktop, as I LOVE that computer.

I also went shopping at the hardware store and bought an adapter for my cordless drill so I can attach a socket to crank my stabilizers up and down. I just can't do the twisting and turning required to get those down and up until my ribs heal. It sure makes a good physical chore, and arm-building exercise, into a speedy, easy, wimpy job! I so HATE being an invalid. I also got another several heavy-duty bungee cords to hold open my front door as the little doodad that's supposed to hold it open isn't worth anything----a slight breeze pulls it right off the trailer wall, or pulls the door free and slams it shut. Because of the positioning of the awning arms, I can't get a different door-holder-opener thingy. So.....the bungee thing works just fine, hooked from the door latch to the bottom of my awning foot.

I also got some Calgon water softener to put into my grey and black tanks to keep them cleaner, as per the advice sent from someone yesterday. Got some bleach to clean out my fresh water tank, also. And I need to make sure my water pump is hooked up properly and not leaking, before I head off to boondock at the VT bluegrass festival in a couple of weeks. I am praying that by then I can lift my hitch and ball and my generator to pack for that trip. Those are the heaviest things I will need to lift and pack.

Weather hasn't been too bad here today----not too cold, and no rain YET! It's 66, windy, and sort-of sunny.

Good afternoon ladies. Had a nice afternoon with my niece. We went shopping for girlie things, makeup, hair products, etc. She has always been a girlie-girl, where I was always the tomboy type, so it was a fun day.

Soos, I think you will enjoy the drill adapter for your jacks. You will know as soon as you do it the old way and think what am I thinking, get the drill> I had to put my jacks down by hand one time when the battery was not charged. Boy what a chore! Hope the repairs to your desktop are not too expensive. I have been adding the Calgon since I first read about it, about 1 and 1/2 yrs ago and have been pleased with the results. I really does what they say it does.

Ava, I can relate to getting chores done in the AM when its so hot. We finally are getting a break from the triple digits and I'm sorry you are not. The AC is also getting relief. It just couldn't keep up with the heat.
