Good Morning Zeee, Lori and all our sleepy sisters!

Well, my dear Middy-cat woke me up at 4:30 a.m. yawling,... she was pacing up and down out on the lawn trying to find me. She must have guessed I was in the camper. could I have been snoring? :o So I brought her in but she got spooked and didn't like the new surroundings even when i invited her onto the bed. Back into the house we go to get her b'fast (complete with tuna on top) and then I eventually came back out here with my coffee.

Seems that i like the new camper a LOT better than I do my house. Ooooohhhhhh...... what does this mean for the future? Well, nothing for at least three more years until my DGD graduates high school (gotta watch her play basketball, you know!) then we'll see.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Last night I went over the mountain, with my camping recliner chair, to meet some friends and listen to some live music at the beach in Wilmington where I used to be a lifeguard. The group playing is called, "Organized Chaos" and they played a GREAT array of late 60s and early 70s music.....I LOVED it, but it killed me to not be able to dance! They played one of my favorites, "Last Dance with Mary Jane" among many others of my favoritests! I hope to remember next Thursday that each week now they will have different groups over there all summer. It's fun to meet up with old friends as well. Some of the tiny kids I taught to swim are now old geezers! Kinda scary to realize how many years have gone by since I was up in that chair keeping an eye out on the swimmers. Sigh----good thing time stopped for me, at least!

Temperature is about 58 now, and clouds and rain that has been coming down all night and morning seem to be breaking up. We MIGHT get some sunshine today, they are saying, but then heavy-duty rain and thundershowers will return tonight and last all day tomorrow. Last night there was a tornado in some area not far from here, and hail as large as 3 inches----thank heavens it missed me. I am not liking this climate change stuff at all.

I guess I am facing another day of doing NOTHING while these dang ribs try to heal. I have to admit that yesterday doing nothing made it possible for me to at least get some sleep last night in my recliner. But what a way to spend free time----I guess I'll go shopping and get me some crossword puzzle books to at least keep my brain active!

My new Lithium-ion Ryobi battery and charger arrived yesterday, and I have the new one all charged up and ready to cut.....really makes that new saw hum! I am going to order one or two more of those babies so I will have plenty of minutes/hours to keep cutting when my body will allow it. The ni-cad batteries work, too, but they just don't have the ooomph of those Lithium-ion ones. And the new one is way lighter than the two older ni-cad ones. Amazing.

I can see some faint sun rays trying to burn through the clouds now, and am going out to dump the rainwater off the tables and chairs on the deck. Coffee is good and warm, and I will read through the night's posts while I am sipping. Check in and let us know what's going on in your neck of the woods or deserts!

I know the feeling of liking my trailer better than my real house, Cedar, for sure! After spending a long, dark, cold winter here in this house, I can't WAIT to get out there! I only wish I had a recliner in there so I wouldn't have to sleep in here while my ribs heal. Going out on the deck now while the sun's rays try to shine. Hope you all have a fun day, wherever you are.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning all. Well we moved, maybe 30 miles down the road to Winchester Bay until Sunday. Got woken up at 4:30 am so I could take DH to the dock for his salmon fishing charter. The guide said to bring rain gear as it was an "open" boat. It took a few minutes for DH to realize the rain gear wasn't for rain   While he's off fishing, I'll be treating myself to a back massage. We gotta do what we gotta do. LOL (it's really for medicinal purposes) Glad to hear you're feeling better Barbz, and I notice Soos is online, so maybe she'll have good news also about her back and the weather. Well, need to get another cup of coffee and some of those goodies. Have fun. carold

good morning ladies,
little overcast today, sure hoping it rains, really need the cool down. Have a field
trip today to take the "Kids Club" to the swimming pool, but if a storm rolls in it
will of course get canceled or cut short. We will see.
Will run up and turn the drippers on the yard of my neighbors while they are gone,
and also a friend needs a ride to pick up her car after some repairs, and stop by
daughters to pick up a check to reimburse my gas, so it really sounds like a busy
day to me. But I like being busy and would have it any other way.
Coffee and biscotti is good this morning and on that note I'm off to get dressed
and get busy.

Soos , take care of that rib and let it heal. Have a great day ladies, happy travels
and be safe.

Well...I can say I am at home this am...we arrived yesterday afternoon. Now do you think the RV adventure ended that well....NOT.
Yep...we made it as far as Hermiston Oregon. When someone waved us down. Now I thought well maybe we have flat...or something. I did not feel anything.
So we pull over and I get out, everything is fine on mine side. My mom get's out and is like..."the entire wheel and tire is gone on the front axle. It must have just happened and I think the people that waved us down saw it come off. The axle was bent. So I call DH he calls the Les Schwab Tire center, they call me and give me the number for a tow truck, who comes and gets the trailer and tows it to the tire shop.

They check everything..the concern was with getting the axle..it would either be 2-3 days or up to 2 months, depending on if there was an axle in Portland or not. According to the shop there is only one place left that makes trailer axles. Well the good news was...they had one in stock. YEAH... we opted to head home and not stay and wait being that it would be Friday or even Monday before it was ready.

So we headed out and drove as far as Yakima and stayed there. Left about 9 am yesterday morning and brought my home via the scenic route...we took 97 up to Hwy 2 and through Leavenworth, WA. Spent a couple hours in Leavenworth, shopping and seeing it. It is a Bavarian Themed town.

Well we arrived home about 30 minutes ahead of DH and DS who were returning from a football camp in Tacoma.

Less then an hour later the tire shop calls and the trailer is READY!!!! It took less then 24 hours for them to get the axle....even the guy was surprised. He ordered it at 4pm on Wed and it was there by 10am on Thursday....ugh.... I really wish now I had told them to call me as soon as the axle came in. That way we would have just turned back, as we would have not been that far away...we would have been near Ellensburg, WA at that point.

So it looks like my mom and I are heading back out today to go get the trailer and we will be home sometime on Saturday.

Now to the tire...I am pissed on this. We had the bearings inspected with the annual inspection we do in March..we were told all went well with the inspection.

Then in Utah when got the new tires...we asked that also check the bearings and make sure it all looked good and was greased up, since they had to change all the tires anyhow.

Well the issue was we blew the bearings...when the tire shop checked the rear ones he stated they were pretty dry. I also explained that I was upset because this stuff was suppose to have been checked and taken care of. I guess until we can really find someone we can trust to do the work...we need to stay and watch.....I wonder if Camping World would be a better option since they are an nationwide chain and have a reputation to keep up...KWIM. We won't be taking it to the local RV place again...the tire place is moot point as it is in UTAH. I think for the wheels work from now on...we are going to have it done at Les Schwab...the guy at the one is Oregon...asked...did they just do a visual or did they actually pull it out...according to him, they have to pull them to really see if it okay or not.
