GOOD MORNING, CAROL, AVA, AND ALL-----LATE MORNING, AT THAT!
Sounds as if you and Bill are keeping very busy, Carol! I can't wait to see your latest window when you get it done, too.
Ava, I assume your car is still working, yes? YIPPEE, if it is at last fixed!
We had 5 inches of rain come down over the past 24 hours! I emptied the rain gauge yesterday morning, and this morning it's just a tad under 5 inches.....disgusting! It literally came down in torrents all yesterday afternoon, and all night long, with intermittent lightning storms. I had to cover Molly's entire body with my sleeping bag to get her to stop vibrating last night in the trailer....the heavy rain on the roof sounded as if it would come right through onto us, and she couldn't resist watching out the window by my bed as the lightning lit up the entire yard. It finally calmed down late in the night, and I reopened the windows. This morning has been mostly cloudy, but the sun is now coming out nice and warm and bright, thank heavens. It was 49 when I got up.
I've been downloading a bunch of pictures and documents I have on this laptop to my portable hard drive in order to keep a good amount of room on here. Next I will get rid of trashy programs I have never used, and never will use. Then I will hook up an Epson printer to this computer so I can once again print out bill receipts and whatever I need for my records. My desktop is a thing of the past, apparently, although I will take it somewhere to see what it would cost to get it up and running again. I transferred all my documents and pics to the external hard-drive last week before it quit entirely, which is a good thing. I will miss many of the programs that came on that computer, but oh well.
We had a deer visit us in the yard early on, and many, many bunnies of all sizes munching on the wet grasses and plants. My ribs are no worse today, and possibly a bit less sore, so I will just continue with 'resting' them, I suppose.
I might go shopping in Saranac Lake today for some white metal paint for the bumper of the old trailer, and for some of the door frames in this house. When my ribs are better, I will get some top rails (2 X 6es) for my deck and balcony rails. And, if it EVER gets dry enough, I will finish mowing the lawn and begin to paint this house. I will also try to find a computer worker in Saranac Lake to give me an estimate on the desktop....don't know if there is one, or not, there. If it keeps on raining, I will tackle the upstairs rooms and try to weed out some 'stuff' to try to sell or dump.
Coffee tastes good and feels good on my cold hands this morning! I hope the sun stays out for a while so Molly and I can at least go for a walkabout. The lawn at the pond is totally out of control by now!
Hope you all check in and have a fun day!
