well good morning ladies
getting some of that coffee for sure and maybe some biscotti too.
getting my laundry done today cause the weekend is predicted to be 114 degrees
and I'll be vegging in behind closed door, unless they call me to come get my
car......again. Picked up the car Wednesday with a new transmission :P then
I didn't get 5 miles away from the dealership and it started doing the same
damn thing as before, slowing down and eventually dieing. I called the dealership
back and they sent the towtruck, it was about 112 on the side of the freeway,
not a lick of shade anywhere and just past high noon, I got overheated by the
time I got back to the dealership and they had me sit in the coolest part of
the building and bought me bottles of water while they lined up a rental for me.
Nice rental too, 2009 Kia Sportage, bigger than mine, this ones a 4x4, 6 cyl.
Pretty green too. They are thinking this time it could be the computer in the
car, but really it doesn't matter what the problem is as long as they fix it!
So the saga of my car continues
Enjoy your day and be safe

Holy Cow, Ava! That's downright dangerous being out in that kind of heat! What on earth is up with that car of yours, anyway! I certainly hope they get things fixed with it SOON! Enough is enough! I always worry about breaking down in the winters up here, and freezing my butt off, but at least I can stay warm with what I pack in the truck for such emergencies. Heat is something else---no way to cool down unless you happen to be next to some water to submerge in. Be very careful out there, all of you in that horrendous heat. No way could I live where there is such heat. Very scary thought for me.

My ribs are extremely sore today, as I really overdid things yesterday. Although I wanted to hitch up and head for a private campground on a lake, I just can't lift all that hardware today. I will need to take it really easy and allow those darned ribs to heal. Sigh-----stupid dancing!

The weather is picture-perfect summer today-----sunny and warm. I may go to the pond in the Kicker and spend the day lounging by the water in the sun.

Hope you all have a great day doing something fun, if you can even get outside of your AC areas! I am very happy to be right where I am for now. I may even go for a swim in the pond if the temp gets warm enough later..

Happy travels!

Not sure if I'll ever catch up on al the posts I've missed lately but decided I'd better at least check in here.

I'm continuing to work my way thru a seemingly never ending list of repairs/upkeep at my house and some rental property. While progress is a bit slow, I am making headway. If nothing else breaks, I should have everything back in good order before end of summer.

My husband's brother and his family were here from 1-6 July. We had a nice visit in spite of the grandson driving Nicky crazy. Nephew proposed to his girlfriend over the 4th holiday and seems to be on cloud nine. She has one year of school left so we think they will wait about that long before getting married.

I now have another house guest for about 3 weeks. My friend whose mother passed away earlier this year is back in town to start going thru her mother's household belongings and deciding what to do with all the stuff. I've been helping her some with that project. It is a bit overwhelming and I'm not sure she is quite ready to deal with it.

For all the birthdays I've missed, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to each.

I've at least got to go read up on the AK travelers to the extent I can before my guest wakes up this morning.

Good to hear from you, Blue! You've been missed! Glad your friend has you to help with the emotional 'going through Mom's things' chores.

Hope you are having a fun summer!

Hopefully, you'll be back in full posting mode soon!!

Take care!
