Rainy Wednesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Wednesday Morning

Good morning everyone - sorry I'm the first one here - not a morning cook, but the coffee is ready.
Yesterday was beautiful. Even pulled Alfie up into the driveway to get ready for a trip. Then found out our refrigerator is on a recall....And the power kept going out. The main plug had a lose prong? thingy? That of course demanded a trip to Camping World in Indianapolis. At least it is fixed. We have been having Internet problems again. The house was reroofed - and they moved the satellite dish. Finally found someone who would come out and fix it Monday. "You Live Where?" It worked until Tuesday afternoon. Then I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Tech Support for Hughes net. I can go through that installers set up program in my sleep now. Finally got it up and running and it is still working - even in the rain. Hooray.
Until we get answers on the refrig can't make any plans to get out of here. If it isn't one thing its two others.
Now need to get caught up with all the posts I've missed.

Morning all!
We had a light rain during the night so I don't have to run the lawn sprinklers this morning. The weather has cooled down considerably, too. Near 70 for the highs lately. Like it!
Went to look at a MH yesterday with my SIL. Didn't buy it, but it was nice to know that this time I could have. Unlike the past where I could only dream.
Gosh, Carol, you have been hit with some big whammies lately! I'm glad your roof got fixed but it makes my teeth hurt to think of having to call tech support to install something over the phone. Here's hoping the fridge will be an easy, quick fix so you can go and enjoy some "fun" time in your Alfie!
Like Carol I'm enjoying coffee right now. Breakfast to come later but I can offer anyone fresh fruit, yogurt or cereal!
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Good Morning from Idaho..

Well the truck part will take 3-4 days to get here. So it will most likely be the beginning of next week before Kodie and I are able to head home.
While I enjoying the extra time with family. The hard part is not having transportation to run around in. My mom picked Kodie and I up from my brother's yesterday. She thought it would be easier for us to stay with her, but I ended up leaving stuff at my trailer...that I now realize I need...ie phone charger and camera battery charger. To be honest...I love my brother's place...he lives about 8 miles out of town in the country on about 2 acres and is surrounded by farm land and quiet. My mom lives in town in a noisy residential area. It is funny what people interpret as long ways....or out of the way drive. Since my mom and sister both live in town and have stores and etc...within minutes of their homes..that driving over 20 minutes to anything is considered a long drive.
Where as..we live 10 miles out of town in the mountains..that for me anything that takes over 1 hour is long. Heck just a trip to the store takes me 25 minutes.
What else I have noticed..is they run around more..yesterday we went to the same store 3 different times, because mom forgot something. With me...we make one trip into town and if we forget something...well it just has to wait for the next trip into town. I guess that is the difference in life style of city living vs country living.

Well Dh and the older kids all made it home. The kids loved the experience of flying for the first time, since we normally drive places it was fun for them. Although DD sun glasses did set of the alarm at the airport.

Part of me wishes I had a way to haul the trailer...I would take Kodie up to Silver Creek..it was a place that we camping a lot as a child...oh well.

My mom is going to make the drive back with us and then fly home. It will be fun..as she has also not camped in years...I do not think she has camped since I was 13 or 14 years old. When my parents divorced. My dad and us kids still camped.

We did go to the zoo yesterday..I only got a few pictures then the camera battery died. I really need to order a back up battery...as I do not always remember to charge the one battery. That way I would have a back up. That or find a car charger>>> Maybe I will get my mom to drive me to Idaho Camera and see if they either have an additional battery or a car charger.

Well you all take care.

GOOD AFTERNOON, ALL!!!

I see that I now have internet access again, after having none all afternoon and evening yesterday after another bad lightning storm. I did have telephone service this time around, but no DSL. I spent a long time on the phone with Verizon techies, and finally went to bed....they wanted me to keep my modem on, which I always do, anyway, and I see that it is working again now. Again, chatroomies, I appologize for not being able to get on last night.

It's 55 degrees here and absolutely POURING RAIN again. I am wondering if this weather pattern will ever get any better all summer. Talk about depressing-----this is making me feel so down I can't believe it. Nothing outside can get done, and camping is out of the question, except for overnight sleeping in the trailer. I may have to go out there again this morning, after the coffee gets made, and turn on some heat to get the dampness out of my body.

My eyes are still sore from all the crying and sobbing I went through yesterday during the CNN Michael Jackson Memorial. I know that many people believe he was a child molester, but I feel he was so immature and childish and totally oblivious to real life, that, even though he liked 'pajama parties' with adolescent boys, I truly do NOT believe he ever sexually molested them. He would have never allowed any of his home helpers to have been aware of what he was doing if he thought it was something wrong or illegal. I believe he was trying to become the little boy he was never allowed to be, and saw no wrong in playing like a child with children. The accusations totally ruined the last 10 years of his life, and undoubtedly led to his early demise.....at least that's what I believe. The Memorial service was excellently executed, and very powerfully emotional.

The logger is due this morning to deliver my firewood for next year. I have the cash to pay him, but need to go back outside to move my truck so he can dump the new stuff. I hope I have saved enough room for it....we shall soon see.

Coffee is now hot, but I have to wait to have some as it's Wednesday again. I hope the rest of you campers are having better weather than we are having here. Stop in and let us know what's going on with you all! Gotta take some more Ibuprofen for my sore ribs now, too. How long does it take for cracked ribs to heal anyway....I sure hope not too long. Maybe I'll run a deep hot bath and soak in it this morning, and kill two birds with one stone----get warm and soothe my aching body!

Later.........

Firewood is now here, and it needs to be moved just a tad so I can get trailer in and out better. In another day, or right after Ibuprofen, I will move just one little log at a time! Just got off the line with Verizon again, and now I am back on after being off again all morning. They wanted me to stay here on Friday, the only nice day forecast since about April, to wait for the repair guy. I just said cancel it, please, and I will try all the stuff I was walked through last night again. Also, Niagra Mohawk was out at the end of my driveway all morning, sawing down trees Perhaps a tree was on my line? Hurrying now to get all done before I lose DSL yet again!

Happy Wednesday to all.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hi all, it's been thundering and raining since about 6AM. Might even cool the temps down to a tropical 92. Not able to do too much as I'm on cuddle duty until the storm passes. Just wanted to stop in and say hi and thanks for the coffee. Linda
