Hi Tina.
Thanks for starting this thread.
So far as diets go, it has been my observation over a lifetime that "one size does
not fit all". (I'm not speaking of a "weight-reduction diet" here, but rather one's individual, every-day eating pattern) but that individuals, by and large, need to seek out what works best for their own individual bodies.
Over my life, ever since I was a young person, I have always subscribed to the "eat a variety of foods in moderation and exercise regularly" theory. It has not always been easy - I do like to eat - but it has stood me in good stead.
I am of normal weight, my blood pressure is in the normal range, I take no prescribed drugs and I have minimal age-related arthritic change (that gives me no discomfort). I have no health issues, aside from the getting old part.
I might be doing something right. I think I will keep on doing what I am doing.
I encourage anyone to do what works best for them to keep themselves healthy.
Each one of us knows our own bodies better than anyone. We have lived in them for a while.
