Lol, Shelia I wish her luck. I bought a bunch of 6 green onions. I cut the green top of one for an omelette and put the white part in water. Suppose to grow roots and then plant in soil. They say you never have to buy green onions again, just keep using the same onion. I need to hurry and eat the green tops of the other five so I will forever have green onions. :D

Shirl you only need maybe 1/2 inch of the wite with root to grow the plant! Slice the rest of white, amd all the green, and what you don't use, freeze in a ziplock baggy for next use. Just take out what you need and back n freezer. That way none wasted.
