Thanks Anne. Thought about getting excited over a tulip plant. Remembered my oldest daughters 21st birthday. The house was quiet and she was in bed and of course younger sister crawled in too. I heard the 21 yr old said “I’m over the hill”. Younger one said “if you are over the hill where is mom”. 21 yr old said “she’s starting on the next hill”. I need to tell her I have lived my life climbing hills not counting years. Lol. My hills have gotten smaller like the challenge of 25 tulip bulbs in a pot. But then I’m not as skillful climbing hills as I use to be. The secret is to keep climbing those hills. Damn, that’s a pretty tulip bud.

Going to be so pretty. I'd love to play bulbs, but it's so dry here anymore it's like digging concrete. You sure have a green thumb.

Shirl, your plant has lots of bulbs on it! That will be so pretty when they're all in bloom!

I'm jealous of the tulips, Shirl! Beautiful. I like your solar lamp, too. I told my daughter about some of the solar ideas and should send her the YouTube link.

Thanks for posting Beth. Growing the tulips in a pot has been so much fun and I am surprised every time I look at them. I planted 25 bulbs and 15 have grown so far, just amazing. Will do it again next fall but not as many. I need to find a place to plant them after they bloom. Living in a apartment I am limited with what I can do to walls so trying to think of a way to use other solar lights. Will have other pots of plants and thought it the balcony would look nice lit with greenery. . Can’t nail poles to floor of the balcony. Only think I could think of was to attach lights to Dollar Tree toilet plungers. Lol It’s fun plotting and planning. Going to regrow green onions, never tried that.

Gorgeous tulips! Such a pretty color. I never would have thought of putting so many bulbs in one pot! Couldn't the bulbs be removed and stored in a carton after all the foliage has withered? Then replanted for next spring. You could use the pot for another short season bloomer - even summer annuals. Anyway, love your gardening thumb!

Edie, I think the bulbs could be stored but I will be the tulip fairy. My daughters already have in their yards, Aunt Dots hosta, Grandmom Goodies peonies so will have my tulips too. #2 daughter took those plants from old house to her new. Guess it’s a family thing. Don’t know that I have a green thumb but now have the time, interest and YouTube. Lol Finally an interest that my mind and aging body can agree on. Keeps me off the streets and a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
