Gourd class

My first time wood burning and carving...

I carved on the wood burned outline and carved out the upper area.

shaving off the skin of the gourd on each leaf.

Carving the lines in the leaves

Painting the first leaf. The rest I will do at home.

I need to burn, carve, and paint 3 more leaves on the other side of the gourd after I get home.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, that is just wonderful. So glad you got to attend those classes with your friend and were able to learn so much from her and the classes. You seem to have a special talent to pick up techniques, etc. quickly and your early projects are beautiful. I’d love to learn how to make gourds, but have never heard of any classes in my area. Be sure to post more pictures so we can see all you learned and how your talent progresses.

It looks to me like you're learning quickly!

On another note I moved this from morning coffee to the general room. ;)
