Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday

Morning All, the start of a nice spring day. Had to get up early so that I will be ready for lunch with old friend. Don’t want to show up creaking and groaning after all these years. :D Take a few minutes to live in the moment, a bird sings or flower blooming. Be safe

Sue, loved your birds, so much talent here.

Mornin' Shirl & all who follow ~~~

Just popping in for a quick howdy. Don't think I even have itty bitty news to mention. Just been doing medical appointments for the last week. Dentist today. I have multiple visits to the chiro scheduled. My neck is historically a mess from a car accident and I lost my balance one morning in the trailer, and it's now waaayyy out of whack.

Congrats to Tina on the dog show. Sandy your paintings are beautiful. And to all the gardeners... keep on digging and planting!

Have a great day ladies.

It's back to winter for a day. Bits of snow on the ground, highs maybe mid 40's. Tomorrow spring comes back and Thursday maybe hints of summer. Very glad I got propane the other day!

Here's hoping for an easy work day before my two days off.

I'm in thrall of all the talent in this group... Wood cutting, Chinese painting, gardening (yes, that's a talent), writing, quilting, etc. And keep sharing ladies. Oh, Sheila, I'm not forgetting your lovely blankets.

Yesterday I thought it was Tuesday all day. Get to relive Tuesday today now.

I took it easy yesterday. My tummy was a little off all day after the night before with indigestion. Mostly just perused the internet all day. I mapped out a future trip to Arizona up along Route 66. Probably won't do that until fall tho. I watched a bunch of You Tube videos by a guy who does Route 66 trips. Much of it I have already seen but I haven't done the CA and AZ parts from here to Winslow. Want to check that out before all that is gone forever.

Feeling better today so I need to kick myself in the butt and get something done.

It is breezy and cool so far and with the windows open in my bedroom, it feels really nice! I am thoroughly enjoying the cooler weather knowing it won't last much longer before the summer heat moves in.

Have a good day! :D

Well, the day hasn't been a total loss.

Dave came over and put my patio table and umbrella together so that looks much better on the front patio. Then I decided to paint outside since it was cool and the wind was light. Looked like rain all around here but it missed me. I repainted the trim around the roof of the shed to the new darker teal and also the metal sculptures I have hanging on the front of the shed. So they all match now. Then I decided to start painting the trim around the sliding door on the deck. I got most of it done but got too tired to finish. Good thing I am right handed and it is my left shoulder that is giving me problems. I can still do some stuff. Maybe I can finish the rest of the trim tomorrow and be done with that. Hopefully, Dave can get to the trim across the front of the house soon and even the side windows. Otherwise those will have to wait until fall.

Am starting another gourd. A little bigger one that I want to do a southwestern design on. The natural markings on it are very cool so I want to use a transparent ink dye on it so they show thru. I ordered the color I want (a natural honey color) and will do the design in teal blue. Had to patch a small hole in the gourd, so that is fixed. Once I get the dye, I will work on it again.

Just saw some doves on my deck again so I got my new CD and hung it up there. Hope that helps. They are making a mess out there. I couldn't find any blank CD's at WM so I ended up buying some old movie DVD that was on clearance. Should still work the same.

More rain clouds coming in but they move around me. I figured once I started painting outside that "Murphy" would take over and it would start raining. Guess not.

My eyes have been puffy and sore and I think it is from having my windows open at night. Either the dust in the air or some allergens are coming in. It is going to start getting hot tomorrow thru next weekend back near 100* so I won't have to worry about that for much longer. Just love that air blowing on me at night tho. :D

Clouding up again...

As usual, the world doesn't want me to sleep. About 3 am some kind of alarm went off. It didn't sound like the usual weather alarm, it was more like a screech. It had quit by the time I got up. I don't know if it was my phone, my computer or the TV. Then at 4:30 Sugar wanted out. I think I finally went to sleep after 6 for a while.

I decided to go try to mow and got the mower stuck in the mud. I was trying to figure out what to do when a neighbor passed and pulled me out. I need to put some chains in the truck in case it happens again. It's suppose to rain again this weekend so it's never going to dry up.

I finally called Directv about the receiver that doesn't work. If I can get two of the regular receivers that work I'm going to return the receivers that record. I never record any shows and my bill just keeps going up. I found the old portable dish we had at the lake years ago. I'm going to see if I can get a new eye part and see if I can get it to work. Hopefully there are meters that work better to find the satellite. I don't want to buy another portable dish for $500 if they are going to keep changing things and old equipment doesn't work.

One of the times I went out some of the cats were looking at something under the truck. It was a small King snake. I managed to get it into a small trash can and turn it loose at the barn. I would have turned it loose in my rose bed but the cats would have just kept messing with it. Those are the kind of snake you want around.

It's only 8 and I'm thinking about bed lol. Since I can sleep in tomorrow, I don't want to be up earlier than work days. On the other hand I'm afraid I'll get a second wind and be up all night. Such problems lol. Ty's already sleeping so he's not helping at all.

I bought some dark chocolate with no milk/dairy added. I can't tell the difference so I'm happy. I like my little bit of chocolate as a treat and like it even better now.

Barbie, I hope he can get the rest of the painting done for you before it becomes impossible until fall. But yay for your great attitude either way.

Martha, I wish I recognized different snakes. And I'm glad there was someone near to help when you got stuck.

Sheila, I'm not a big country music fan person, but when I read your post I remembered an Alan Jackson song "litte bitty", not exactly itty bitty but I just googled the lyrics... This what you heard?

Have a little love on a little honeymoon
You got a little dish and you got a little spoon
A little bitty house and a little bitty yard
A little bitty dog and a little bitty car
Well, it's alright to be little bitty
A little hometown or a big old city
Might as well share, might as well smile
Life goes on for a little bitty while
A little bitty baby in a little bitty gown
It'll grow up in a little bitty town
A big yellow bus and little bitty books
It all started with a little bitty look
Well, it's alright to be little bitty
A little hometown or a big old city
Might as well share, might as well smile
Life goes on for a little bitty while
You know you got a job and a little bitty check
Six pack of beer and a television set
Little bitty world goes around and…

I remember that song Beth. So cute!

I went back out and finished the rest of the trim on the slider door I got a little paint where I didn't want it so I have a little clean up to do, hopefully tomorrow. But it looks nice.

A neighbor said we got a few drops of rain here. I must have blinked and missed it.

I haven't seen Spooky around the last week or two. He used to come once or twice a day. Just the orange kitty and the white mangy cat eating here now. The coyote hasn't been seen around here for several weeks now so she must have headed back out to the desert to have her pups. Better place for her there.

Sheila, I have a small bottle of Activia probiotic yogurt every night before I go to bed. Love the taste and seems to work OK. I ran out a few days ago and just picked up more yesterday.

Things are shutting down in the park here for the summer. Most of the snowbirds have headed north now. Will be very quiet around here again.

Good night...

Martha, thank you for being kind to the King snake. I quite like snakes - I find them interesting creatures - and would see them fairly frequently when I used to live in the foothills.

So many people tend to kill them outright, but they are actually very beneficial.

Anne, the speckled king snake is one that I can recognize. We had one in the barn for several years and I liked to watch it hunt. It would go around looking in holes. I just don't like to be surprised by a snake. Sugar needs to learn the "leave it" command because she was right there with the cats with her nose on the snake.

My grandparent's neighbor had a dog that had been bitten by a poisonous snake and survived. He hated snakes. When we wanted to go walking in the woods we would go get Jerry. He was not a friendly dog at all but would follow us on walks. I only saw him kill a snake once. He would shake it until he killed it.
