The phone number appears to belong to a nurse and her prominent business owner husband. Can scammers manipulate telephone number to appear local when it isn’t?

Yes, I also quit answering local numbers and wait for them to start leaving a message if they don't I assume it is a scammer. I actually got one that said it was from me one day!!

I normally don't answer calls unless I recognize the name BUT fortunately the other day I did answer a call with my area code as it was the hospital telling me to come in for my first Covid shot THAT DAY. Got the Maderna shot - anyone have their second yet? Any reactions? I keep hearing that the second shot is worse than the first. All I had with the first was a sore arm.

I go for my second Moderna shot on Monday. I am making a little chicken soup on Sunday in case I feel bad. I had a sore arm and tired the day after first shot. I will post how I feel. I will handle whatever, glad for the vaccine.

I get calls with local numbers all the time. I have voice mail and an answer machine on my land line. If they don't leave a message I'm not calling them back. One left a message the other day that they were turning me over to the police. Good, I need a vacation.

I get emails all the time about credit cards I don't have or banks I don't use or Amazon shipments. The email they use has some off the wall address. My credit cards send me an email every time I make a charge so I don't worry about the other stuff.
