Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday

Postby Shirlv » Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:52 am

Good morning all, another cold gloomy day. Going to turn on more lights and play some music. I have some apples that have seen better days so will make an apple crisp. I could eat peanut butter on cardboard if I have apple crisp for dessert. Went on Line yesterday and stopped payment on the lost check. My bank branch said no fee. No one told the computer so had to call online services to deduct the fee which they did. :? A bright spot in my life is my single niece. After a divorce she has been living with a friend. She just bought a cute little house on 4 acres. Always glad to see a woman moving ahead. Really need to vacuum today, maybe music will help. Be safe

Barbie, check in please

Good morning Shirl and Everybody from gray, cloudy and maybe snowy CT.
Surprisingly there is nothing on the agenda for today...

Shirl, I’m going to try winter planting some spinach seeds. I saved my gallon milk container, poked drainage holes in the bottom, cut around the top, filled it with potting soil, watered it, and put it outside. I’ll let you know when something happens.
Barbie, I hope you feel better today. Tina, wishing you well. It’s been such a long battle for you. Stay strong. Peggy

Good morning Shirl, Peggy and everyone!

Shirl, that is so exciting that your niece bought a house and on a nice size lot!

Peggy, I hope you have good lunch with your spinach!

It's warm and sunny in central FL, This is the 3rd day in a row that we've been in the low 80's but tomorrow is going to be almost 20 degrees cooler. The friends we traveled around the country with are coming for a mid afternoon meal. The shrimp are marinating in a Cajun marinade and they'll go on 4" skewers with a slice of kielbasa in the curve and grilled. The meal will be chicken pizza, mandarin orange salad, asparagus and coleslaw.

Tina, please take care.

Have a good day.

Good morning gals,

Didn't do anything yesterday. Couldn't eat much but did have some chicken noodle soup. Stomach issues all day. Even had a slight fever for awhile. Went to bed fairly early.

Still feeling crappy this morning. My temp is actually 96.8 which of course is low.

I made an appointment to get tested again this morning. I may have gotten tested too early last week if I picked up something in SB. I guess it takes up to a week after exposure to get a positive test result. Hopefully that is not what I have. Also have a call in for my doctor to see what she thinks.

The paramedis showed up next door yesterday for my neighbor. I guess she fell in her shower and couldn't get up. She got a small scrape on her arm but I guess is otherwise OK. I worry about her because she has COPD, is on oxygen, still smokes, is near 80 and overweight. I keep my distance for sure for her sake!

Clear skies this morning. Will take my camera with me when I go get tested and get some pics of the mountains. Another big storm coming tomorrow with lots more rain and snow predicted.

Just eating a banana and will see how that goes.

Irmi, my mouth is salivating over those shrimp. Yum.

Barbie, I admit I came on often last night to see if there was further news. Fingers crossed it's not covid, but I'm very glad you're going to talk to your doctor. You might not be able to start work Saturday until you have the new test results. Maybe you should talk to your boss today.

I think I'm going to cancel my annual dermatologist appt for next week. It's not critical and I'll feel better doing some of these things after I finally get the vaccine. My fingers and toes are crossed that it happens before I need to leave for my job.

Shirl, it certainly does feel we need to be super diligent to make sure things get done right. And Peggy I'll be looking forward to everyone's container plantings updates.

Tina, hugs, and hoping for some great strides forward.

Just went to get tested. Still no one there and also no one in line for the vaccine. Strange. Maybe they ran out of vaccine again.

Stopped to pick up some Prilosec OTC and see if that will calm my tummy. I did notify my manager so I will let her know tomorrow when I get my results back. Lately it has been a 24 hour turn around for results. Still waiting for a call back from my doctor.

I grabbed a big box of Russel Stover truffles that were marked $2. Couldn't help myself. But when I took a bite of one, I just wasn't interested in eating it. Now that is a bad sign!! My taste buds still work but most food just doesn't appeal to me right now.

Will keep you posted.

It's a little cooler today, 68. Irmi, it's probably headed your way tomorrow. Your lunch sure sounds good. I am still eating leftover meat loaf. Yesterday I made a potato salad and had chicken and sausage gumbo. I would sure like some boiled crawfish. The take out place in Abbeville doesn't open until 4:00 and I'm too lazy to drive to town.

Barbie, your neighbor's health sounds like my sister except my sister is 69. It looks like someone that can't breath would stop smoking. I am always afraid she is going to fall out of the camper or have some health issue when we are on the road. I am trying to say away from her because she is going to PT and doctors every week. There are too many people coming and going at her house. I didn't tell her I have a campout next week. Hope you didn't catch anything on your trip.

I think that they say whatever is the normal on temps... but wonder how many are actually that? mine isn't I get up to normal and I'm running a fever... it's a crazy virus affects people differently sure hope that you don't have it
Tina hope we hear that you are on the improving mode soon...
one day I will come on and say I actually did something today... but today isn't the day
sent an e-mail to an old friend had gotten an friend request from someone by her name but in the picture the person had short hair my friend didn't been a few years 4 or so since i've seen her... so wanted to make sure I was accepting the right person.. got a reply back that it in deed was her... her husband passed away sometime last or year so he wasn't one for social media... I am glad to be able to see more of her...
will be glad when the weather warms up suppose to be nice tomorrow but then Friday not so my friend whose husband passed away last week is having a walk through the porch look at some pictures and be on your way type of thing ... but it's suppose to rain... and it's not the 5 percent type that you can think not going to happen up in the 35 percent...
today is my brother's birthday...
so that is my news from my corner of the world...
weird thing last night took Shadow out for his potty break (the last on of the night) was coming around the back of the 5th wheel heard barking fairly close but yet it didn't sound like coyote's can't imagine it being a dog... spooked me we hurried up and went inside locked the door and didn't go back out till I got up... and wouldn't have that is one reason I have pee pads down lol usually I would have but whatever it was was just too close...
I can talk myself into getting nervous some days

I took the Prilosec earlier today and so far that seems to be helping. I was able to eat a few things without feeling sick. Stomach is gurgling a bit yet, but better. Hopefully, this is just some little stomach bug. The cough I have had for so long, I don't know where that came from. Wasn't even sick before when that started.

CA is in for a heck of a storm tomorrow into Friday. Already hitting northern CA with heavy rain and snow, resulting in a few mud slides up that way in the burn areas. The burn areas around LA are under evacuation warnings already for flooding and mudslides. We are even supposed to get a lot of rain here. The problem with this storm is getting so much rain so quickly. It has to go somewhere and doesn't have time to soak in. The mountains that already got snow, will get rain on top of that before it turns to snow so that will add to potential flooding and mudslides. The worst I can expect here is a lake in my back yard and possibly the road in front of the park sometimes gets washed out about a mile from here where it crosses the Whitewater River canal. That is usually dry most of the year but gets the rainwater coming down from the mountains both from the west and the north, so it can get very full very fast. We'll see what happens... the rain out here can be both a blessing and a curse.

Crossing my fingers for a negative test result tomorrow!
