Tina here. Live but not kicking

I owe you all an apology for being to silent. Sorry.

Thank you all for continued support and lifting up and positive energy....and cards and texts. As Liz shared, my pain levels have come down to bearable. It is the nausea that I am dealing with now. As I watch my weight drop I worry that they will try to put me back on a feeding tube. This is not the recommended way to lose weight. they sent me home with IV antibiotics and two different nausea meds and a drain for around the liver. While putting the drain in they managed to also drain 800 cc of clear fluid from around my right lung.. Everything seems to move so slowwwwly. My mind, body and spirit just feel so empty of energy. Reading and responding to stuff comes hard right now. FYI, when the surgeon took the Gallbladder out he told me that it had been sick for a long time. Apparently he told the man in the recliner that it was shriveled up like a petrified something and he basically picked out the pieces.....

My tolerance for sitting in a chair is nil so I will bow out but thank you again. Wish I had more up beat news. My pollyanna story is that I didn't have Covid and haven't been on a ventilator for two months.......

Thank you all again..... Tina

Tina you have had quite a time of it. I sure hope they can get things under control. When I was in the hospital they gave me Zofran, did nothing. Then Phenergan and it helped but Reglan did the trick for me. Not sure what you are on but some drugs work for people and others dont. Trial and error. I sure hope you can start to eat a little bit at a time. I am sure you were given instructions on what to eat and what not to but just try to eat a little something you think sounds good to you every couple of hours it might help with the nausea also. Sure hope you will be on the mend soon.

Oh, Tina, you have no reason to apologize. But it is wonderful to hear from you. I agree with Karen about trying to take a bite or two of anything that doesn't make you gag thinking of it. (Yes she said it nicer.) After trying everything doctors told me I should be able to handle I gave up. Pretzels weren't on the good food list, but they were in my cabinet and I tried. Ha, I think I lived on them for a couple months. At first only a couple tiny ones at a time. Now I'm not saying pretzels will work for you but anything, a few bites as often as you can, is better than nothing.

Hang in there. One step at a time. Hugs and love sent your way.

I'm so glad you posted! For your gall bladder to be that bad, you had to have been ignoring pain for quite a while!!! Sorry you had such a rough time, but I remember after my pancreatitis attack, losing 20 pounds in 20 days, and staring at a half-sandwich for an hour while trying to eat it. I found scrambled eggs and puddings kept me going for a long time, so I hope you find something you can eat without nausea.

I'm sure you are taking it easy and won't have to go back to the feeding tube. And it IS good that you didn't have COVID-19!!

Speaking of popsicles, don't they make pedialyte popsicles. Don't know if that's something you can have. Hope you are feeling better soon.
