Hope you're doing better today, but I have to warn you to watch out how much they are feeding you. I had nutrition ONLY via IV when I had pancreatitis, and I was shocked to find that after 17 days without real food, I had gained 5 pounds when I got home from the hospital!

Little news here but we wait and try to continue to heal. Completed another CAT as an of the belly area. No reports back. The Hospital Dr group and the Gastro folks seem to be not coordinating as well As I would like. I am getting mixed messages regarding the immediate future as a result. So I sit and wait The swelling in my arms and hands had gone down a couple days ago and this morning I am beginning to notice a reduction in the fluid retention in my legs. Moving back and forth to the bathroom is where I notice over all improvements the most. I can move with less discomfort. The staff here have been wonderful over all. Believe the news these people are exhausted. They are working 12 hour shifts falling into bed and returning to do it all again the next day. Staffing lines are thin but determined.

Wednesday evening up date. They did release me to home Tuesday afternoon. I managed to take a stool into the shower before I got clean jams on and collapsed onto the couch. I left all the IV antibiotics behind along with a long list of other Medea and fluids. The home healthcare services hit a glitch by delivering the nutrition supplement for the Tube feeds 1.5 hours past delivery promised the RN sent ou to to the evaluation and training completed what she could and had to wait around. When the Kangaroo pump arrived she went to set it up and explain the process she the pump refused to pump. She was very nice and called the tech folks to no avail so Imade it through the night with my clear liquids and the freedom of not hauling a pole around with me to the bathroom. The new pump arrived mid morning and by noon my nose was being fed again. Much more comfortable her at home. Quieter. I am making it to the bathroom and back. Slept in my own bed a d have been repositioning on the coach and napping the rest of the day. My brain does not want to concentrate on reading but a week ago O wasn’t able to tolerate texting either. Slowing slowing moving forward. I have a IPhone dr visit with the Grastro group on the 8th of Dec. Hopefully we can come with a better projection of the future at that time. I look forward to feeling up to sitting at my desk in the back room. I don’t have to worry about getting out into the public. Everyone have a day of graditude and stay healthy. Tina

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear things are progressing for you albeit slowly. I know we all want an instant cure but we also know that isnt always possible. Good you made it thru the pump glitch with no untoward issues. Continue getting better my friend. I will be thinking good thoughts for you.

Glad you are at home, but do you have someone with you? I assume your husband is around in case you fall, right? In any case, please be careful.

Man in the Recliner has responded better than I expected. He is so used to me being independent. We live sort of separate live here but he has stepped up. I think it scared him to see how ill I was/is and I have to admit that since I have been home I have not tried to be a martyr.... I just want to continue healing......
(We also agreed that he didn't try to make trips to the hospital to visit. He doesn't do well in hospital environments and health issue wise, he doesn't need t get anywhere close to them.....)
