TINa here with update

Postby BirdbyBird » Sun Nov 22, 2020 8:54 pm

I sort of confused Anne. I really don’t need what is going on to be kept a secret. Just that up until
Now I had no extra
Energy in my day to share. I also don’t feel chatty or social or.... you get the ides. Focusing on spelling and being coherent is not high on my priority list

I do not have COVID as of the test results

I did/ do have an extremely infected and inflamed
Pancreas with a nasty nasty bad Gallbladder Being the unique individual I am....actual stones have never shown up through a variety of procedures and tests. Large sack of inflamed fluid. PAIN. PAIN. No not talk to me pain. I can now hold my head up and reposition myself in bed without my body core screaming at me. I am taking a boat lead of this and that. So far I have kept my lungs clear and have developed no blood clots.

I came in on the 11th. It was a Wednesday. I went a week without taking any calories in. My stomach looked like a 70 year old pregnant GHL. During one of the last scans they ran they finally inserted nose tube that now allows for food delivery passed the stomach, pass the large pool of god knows what, directly into the top of the upper Intestines. We have continued to figure out the most effective antibiotics. Inch by inch my body seems to drag itself towards better.... or I would not have attempted these case notes. The teams are now trying to figure out how to get me home with some home health care training, especially on tube feeding.

CIndy picked up Jane and took here back to her house. I have a friend coming in to bath and brush out Audrey. CIndy will come pick her up too if I need that. Lark may need to visit with CIndy also if the enthusiasm gets to much. We will see.

I will check back in with an update before Rabbits.... love you all and don’t want you to worry. Slow progress is still progress. Tina

Tina, so sorry to hear you are sick. I was kind of wondering why we hadn't heard from you. My sister had a round with pancreatitis several years ago. It seemed like the hospital was trying to starve her. This is a real scary time to be in a hospital not to mention being sick. Prayers for a full recovery soon.

Thanks for the update. So sorry you are going thru this. Pancreatitis with a sick gallbladder on top of it is certainly not anything to sneeze at. I can imagine the pain. Hope you get everything under control and start to heal quickly. Also glad your Covid test was negative. That is a plus.
Get well soon girlfriend.

Big hugs Tina. They say we don't really remember pain after the fact. I can say that the years I dealt with what was finally diagnosed as gall bladder attacks and the associated pain... I've never had pain like that. Having two issues including that I can't imagine. I'm glad you're on the path to recovery. If I (or we here) can do anything to help in any way, please speak up. Meantime, just rest and heal.

Thank you for checking in here. And thank Dennis for updating me when requested, so I didn’t need to bother you. So glad the pain is lessening and you will be able to recoup at home. Not the best way to lose weight, but look on the bright side. Remember the many good times, travel vicariously with those out there now, as you plan your next adventure. I still thank Sharon for getting me through cancer treatments with her trip to Alaska in her RV called Hope. She’s probably the main reason I ventured to Alaska myself 3 years later.

Tina~
Shocked to read that you're in the hospital and dealing with this. Praying for continued improvement so you can go home. I know you'd rather be anywhere than where you are, but Cindy will take good care of the pups until the GHL can get back to them.

Stay safe. Stay positive. Get well! (((hugs)))

Just saw that you've been under the weather (what a weird saying). Please take care of yourself and heal. We all are pulling for your recovery.
