Happy national angel food cake day~~~

Hope everyone is doing well today. Waiting to hear from Martha if she survived hurricane delta. Carolyn did check in to FB. I think she said she lost power last night. We expected rain all day yesterday in Texarkana, but none came. I think we were right on the outer band of the storm clouds, based on the circular edge of the cloud than hung out just to the west all day.

Got the final fix done (spare tire cable), on the Ford this morning from the flat on Tuesday. Fingers crossed I'm fine with repairs.

Have a good weekend ladies.

Good morning Cheryl, glad you seem to be all fixed up but let's hope no more issues for you.

I spent the last week with Laura. Was a very fun but busy visit. We met Barbie on my way home to Medford at a restaurant. Had a great chat and was good to see her again.

Had my home inspection and lots of TLC things to fix. I just want to fix other things but the basic inspection showed good bones. I want to redo both bathrooms and kitchen. I am having new carpet installed as the other is nasty I think. Floors in small dining area and kitchen are real nice. Appliances are super old (almond color LOL) So will be buying all new appliances. For now just need a couple recliners, a couple of beds, Then I can add stuff when I find some bargains ha ha Will need all the usual stuff, bedding, kitchen stuff, lamps, tv's etc. Kitchen cabinets are okay for now but they really do have to go depending on my funds. Might be buying things in stages. The yard is fine, not my style but not worrying about that right now. This home is 1792 sq ft so much larger than my other. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry, kitchen dining area, formal dining room, family room, and living room. Lots of storage everywhere. Comes with a small outdoor storage unit for yard things. For right now I will just use the 3rd bedroom for some storage of stuff in my storage unit until I can sort thru it. It is a process and some things are fun, some not so much. But should close next week so then I can get started with some remodeling. I dont know much about the companies in Roseburg yet but guess I will find out. My realtor gave me the name of a handyman and an electrician so will check them out. Well I wont be bored this winter that is for sure.

Karen, congratulations! Although the cause was not the best, it is always fun to have projects to make you new house your new home.

Afternoon All, I wasted away another morning. My pace seems to be slower and slower. :D Traffic is normal on this Saturday so hope the beach season is over for this year. So use to staying home on weekends I have nothing planned. Karen, glad your house passed inspection. Are you planning to move in after settlement or renovate long distance? I can’t remember if you said the distance between your new house and your present living quarters. In any case new adventures and challenges await. :D Waiting to hear from Martha, speaking of dealing with challenges. Sitting in the recliner waiting for Beth to get to the casita and seeing what bargains she finds. I am really bored and do wish all of you out there would do something exciting. I only have a stupid rotisserie chicken, how exciting is that. Be safe.

Ah, Shirl snuck in! I've wasted the morning as well - it is noon here. Still in jammies. :)

Cheryl, I hope you can travel without mishaps now! You've certainly found some great places to see.

Karen, congrats on finding a new home! I'll enjoy watching your progress! My daughter had said earlier that once my grandson takes his things from the storage shed, I can start ordering for the apartment. Guess I'll start looking for bargains. :)

Anxious to hear from Martha.

Velda, so sorry about your eye situation. Has to be frustrating.

I finally heard from the KOA and have a winter spot - didn't realize how hard it would be to get. Found a place to store the trailer yesterday. Will keep the Sling with me so I can remove snow from its cover all winter! Couldn't find covered storage.

Enjoy your weekend!

I'm at a city cg in Nebraska. I might make a long driving day tomorrow. Long for me, anyway. Karen, is exciting how quickly you'll be closing. Will there be a place near you to store your mh? And I'm also curious if you'll stay in the hotel while you get some of the maintenance started. As long as insurance is willing to pay, I probably would for some of it. But you, obviously, could have a totally different spin on it.

Bargains in Benson? I doubt anything this year. I don't know if the annual sale will happen. If it does, I might sell the recliner I got last year. I was so comfortable in the glider and ottoman she has... I want one lol I doubt I'll get lucky and find one at our sale if it happens, but I can hold out hope. Or I might have to splurge and buy one.

Anita, great that you have a place. That must have been nerve wracking waiting to hear. Cheryl, fingers crossed that everything is working/fixed now.

I am still at my son's house. I would really like to go see but there are traffic lights out all over.

My neighbor's son was suppose to try to make it home but haven't heard from them. If I knew I had electricty where my motorhome is I would go that far.

Meet birthday for those born today. OK Shirl, here is some exciting news...I went to another Drive By Birthday party today!!! Fun. Another GGD is 4. Her actual birthday is 13th.
Cheryl, go dig for a diamond in the state park near you. I camped there twice and it poured rain both times. So, I didn’t get a diamond.
Martha, watching the TV for reports that you haven’t floated away. Maybe that alligator will swim away?!?
Tina, glad to hear you are getting out in your RT.Judy, I too, enjoyed Zion.
Karen, is your new home a stand alOne or another manufactured home in a community?
Liz, have so enjoyed hearing about u and Bob and your anniversary celebrations. Loved the reports on the butterfly garden.
Sue, sounds like a nice camping trip for the end of the camping year. Glad your gov wasn’t kidnapped.
Swim pool still closed, but, it is going to be beautiful when it is done. I continue walking the treadmill.

I think a 4 yr olds birthday is wonderfully exciting. At least you are on the treadmill, I’m still in the recliner. I did make a hot sandwich with the rotisserie chicken. Now, where did I put the ice cream.

Finally heard my house is ok but no power at home or at motorhome. Four trees down on road. The neighbors will probably move them tomorrow. Sugar and I want to go home. I left the outside cats a lot of food if the racoons don't find it.

today was my mom's 94th birthday... she spent the night at my brother's house and then this morning we picked her up and went to my grandson's house and had breakfast.. then off to walmart for her hair appointment she was the only one there got a cut and a perm styled then we met my brother and his wife at Freddy's we were still full from breakfast so had ice cream ... always room for ice cream right
while she was having her hair cut we got the car washed went to walgreens and back to walmart thought of some stuff we forgot first time through... so bought a salad mom saw it said it looked good the one who doesn't eat salads from meals on wheels??? not sure if she is just to full or they lack imagination so mom has my salad hope she enjoys it  told her she had better eat it and not let it go bad in her fridge... then we took her home thought we would go the long way down the canyon and see if the colors were still out she opted not then complained that all she saw was yellow trees... well that is the way it is... think the reds or in the canyon but I am sure that by then she was wore out... saw the dr yesterday and he said she is looking good ... my brother took her...
just a little over a week and should be heading south... at least that is my plans hoping all will go well in that direction...
for those that have the Hallmark station and not sure which one... I heard of a Christmas movie coming out that sounded interesting... according to the ones talking about it on the radio most were country stars and it was a new version of A Christmas Carol ... I think modern times and Scrooge was a female as were her toasts Wyanna Jud was one of them am hoping that I have my tv set up and remember it by then...
gave my great granddaughter her quilt today so that is one project done... decided to do a few more rows on my grandson's afghan
Karen it is good that you can get things going so quickly and hopefully the needed upgrades can happen soon.. Anita if the snows get to bad you can always come to the desert...Drive safe Beth and Martha good to hear all is well even if no power... hope it is restored quickly
I know there were more comments but my feeble mind isn't pulling them up
you all have a good night...

Martha, glad your house survived yet another hurricane. Hope the kitties are ok.

It rained here all night last night and off and on most of the day today. We went out for a bit between downpours and checked out some of the old covered bridges around here. Got some picks of those.

My flight tomorrow is at 4pm. After a layover in LA, I land in Palm Springs at 8pm. My next door neighbors are picking me up. I wish I didn't have to work on Monday morning.

Good night :D
