Before/After Satellite Pics of Fire Damage in Karen’s Park

Here are before and after pics of where the fire went through Karen’s development in Talent, OR. Her park is at the top center just to the left of the green belt In the right corner. The road in the top right corner is I-5. The road just under the development running diagonally is 99.

Thanks for posting these photos Sandi. They really show the devastation not just to Karen's park, but the surrounding area as well. My eyes were immediately drawn to the giant red spot on the "after" photo which I presume was an air drop of fire retardant. Chilling....

I had looked at the whole series of these photos, which one network had set up with a slider bar-one way showed before, slide the other and you revealed the damage. But I has no idea which photo showed your area, until now. And I do recall studying that one, wondering if that was the one. Such massive destruction in the whole area. It's scary and sad. Just so grateful you, Emma, and your neighbors got out. Just north of me, 10 are declared dead and 16 still missing and in Washington, two parents badly burned and their child killed. It's a brutal year. Then I read of arsonists both CA and WA!

Saw news report tonight that they have a guy picked up near the start of the fire and they suspect fire was arson, , but are not willing yet to say the guy in custody did set the fires. So, no conclusions yet. Let the investigation proceed. But who ever did it, if a person started it, throw the book at them!
