It’s Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Tuesday

Postby Othersharon » Tue May 05, 2020 11:08 am

Good morning all. Looks like winter has returned to our area! Even predicting snow in the next couple of days! It won’t stay and probably only be “showers” but it’s May!! Crazy! Martha, hope Sugar is getting better and can come home. Sadly my youngest son and his family had to say good bye to their old boy yesterday. Rough day for everyone.
My driveway is covered with yellow “stuff” from the trees as it is every spring so that’ll be a project to either sweep or blow them. Right now they are wet so no use trying to clean them up yet. Never ending! And I’m still cleaning up the leaves from last fall! But at least it gets me outside and active! At least when it isn’t raining! So today will be inside chores. With the temps going down into the low 30’s at night I’m just as glad that I haven’t dewinterized Lola yet. It would probably be okay but I feel better for not having done it yet. A few state parks are slowly opening up for camping and apparently private campgrounds are too. What to do? I’m really back and forth on if I will or not. Days like today I don’t want to go but on the nice days I want to go camping. Okay, enough of my babbling! Hope you all stay safe and have a wonderful day.

I am still hanging out in bed but been awake for a couple hours now.

I hope Sugar is better today and can come home! Poor guy!

I just read about the arctic blast about to hit the northeast! Hunker down up there! Meanwhile, we have been having record heat out here! Will hit about 110 tomorrow and Thursday! Way too early for that here! I will just stay indoors and hunker down here too! I stopped at the bank yesterday and had to wait outside in line for a bit. Was standing in the sun and it was getting very hot, especially with my mask on! Luckily, no lines at WM, altho they had tent frames set up all along the front entrance area but no covers on them yet. So they are at least working on it.

Have a good day and find something fun to do! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Ok, I'm going to have Thursday off. I have a Walmart pickup order scheduled. And a high of only 49 degrees, going down to 30. Sharon, I hope this doesn't travel all that way east or you'll be having cold weather for awhile. After 61 for a high tomorrow they aren't predicting it to hit 60 again until the following Wednesday. Barbie, wouldn't it be good if our crazy temps would even our? But I'm still glad for a day off!

I'm not, for now, hiring for the short position. I'll be combining a shift with my duties. Now, of business picks up, to where I need to, I'll find someone then. And call myself a fool. LOL

Martha, I'm watching for a post , with hopefully good news about Sugar.

Barbie, you are adopting my schedule--wake up and lay in bed for a few hours, watching TV or reading! So nice to have a comfortable bed to sleep late in!

I had to run to drop some legal docs off at a post office and then got a propane fill at Tractor Supply. Guy did not think I could back up through the narrow gate so the hose would reach, but I did great! I really need a new backup camera, however. Mine is old and black and white, or more accurately grey and grey. Unless it is dark and my backup lights are on, I can barely see anything, so I am used to using my mirrors.

I also got a chocolate milkshake at Steak and Shake, which tasted good.

The cold front is suppose to get here Saturday and Sunday with temperatures in the 70's instead of the 80's and 90's. It got up to 93 today. Glad it's not going to be in the 30's. I like these longer days. I fished until 8:00. The mosquitoes said it was time to go in.

Sugar is spending another night at the vet's. He wanted to make sure she can eat without throwing up. None of her tests showed anything that would have caused her problem. The only thing he can see is that maybe she got a bacterial infection in her digestive system from eating the dead bird. I forgot to tell him that she eats wood bees if she can catch them. That's probably not good for her either.

Judy, I don't like my backup camera either. It has a message at the bottom that says things may appear reversed. They don't and the message takes up 1/4 of the screen. It doesn't help with backing up very much.

I still don't have a trash bin yet. I can think of all kinds of things I want to throw away but can't. The kitchen trash was getting so ripe I had to put it in a trash can on the porch. I will be lucky if the raccoons don't get into it. The neighbors have a pile of trash on the side of the road to be picked up. I think I will add some of my stuff to their pile. We have two different kinds of trash pickup. A truck picks up household trash in the bins and another truck with a arm picks up wood and metal things.

how come they haven't brought you out a new bin Martha?? that just seems silly... Sorry Sugar has to stay another day. Hopefully tomorrow
Finally through with my quarantine... went up to the house this morning my one daughter was doing double duty working and babysitting her granddaughter...and the other one was going to get on the computer for work so came back one my dd said why didn't you do that stuff while in quarantine??? good question I pondered it a lot  but no since staying up there while they are working so went up around 6 would have gone up earlier but took a nap... my problem is getting out of bed in the morning... too easy to get on FB and read ...
did get my dolls taken care of and the bins they ride in put away it was too windy yesterday ...looks like it's a good thing I did them today as it's suppose to be very windy tomorrow... like 40 MPH hate that type of wind..
vacuumed and generally have the back of the 5th wheel in order other than stuff that I want to go through..
but it needs to wait it's turn have the table full of stuff to either get rid of or put where it belongs..
have a philodendron that doesn't seem to grow although right now it seems to have some new growth I think the planter it's in is too big might take and find a new one that is smaller and see if that helps...
sounds like it's either cold or hot can't seem to please us can it? turned the heat on was warm this morning yesterday about froze.. had the heat on all day and it was windy not 40 mph windy but really windy so expect tomorrow to have to have the furnace on... think the propane (hooked up to the buddy) is to low to really heat the place up.. one thing I need to do this week is go get more propane as all the bottles are empty or close to it that would be 5 I never do that ... usually don't bring up the two larger ones there are two that are for the 5th wheel the furnace, stove, and fridge operate off them.. but here I have a really big tank 100 gals I think so the stove and furnace work on it fridge is on electricity so the others are for the buddy and I brought them empty... other than the little guy it's partly full and the buddy turns on just doesn't put out much heat..where as when it's on a fuller tank I have lots of heat..
think I jabbered on long enough
you all be safe
