Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday

Postby OregonLuvr » Sat May 02, 2020 9:40 am

I got busy yesterday and forgot to check in LOL I have been busy cleaning out my storage shed and reorganizing. I sure had quite a bit of stuff in there I no longer need. So got 1/4 of it cleaned and organized. I only like to work for a few hours at the most at a time as I lose interest after a bit LOL I will get back in there again today and do a bit more.

We are supposed to have rain today but heck ya never know with our weather people. I have a few branches and things to pick up outside ya know ...just in case they are right hah

I need to start restocking my Motorhome as the county park several of us have reservations at is opening to self contained RV's only. I will be going for 3 days in the middle of May with a womens camping group. We will of course behave ourselves and practice appropriate distancing.

Right now sun is shining brightly so I better get some breakfast and get a little bit busy.

Karen, I split your post off into the new day.

I worked a few hours this morning but am taking it easy the rest of the day. The person I should be training tomorrow hasn't shown up. I've never had a no show bit know they happen. That said, we've been in contact all winter, last contact was only a week and a half ago. It makes me nervous that something happened... But no reply to emails or voicemail messages. Means I'm now short a person for the season. Sales were better yesterday than most starts and today seems to be following, so that's good. I slept like a rock last night and probably (hopefully) will again tonight. I won't have the new person to train so it'll be just me on day shift tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday LOL but there's lots I need to get done, still, so there's pluses and minuses.

Hi everyone!

Karen, I wish I had your gumption.

Beth, I really hope today is Saturday, because if not, I missed church. LOL! I'm so glad the store has been busy and hope you found out what happened to your missing person. I loved Keystone and would love to help you if we were in the area for any length of time.

I finally pulled my keyboard out to practice for tomorrow's service, which will resume for the first time in 7 weeks. But only 3 people to a pew and every other pew. I don't expect that many people there, but I'll be sitting in my little corner at the organ by myself.

Continue the social distancing.

I didn't even notice that it says Sunday instead of Saturday! Oh well, who's paying attention to days right now anyways?

I got up fairly early today and the day seems to be dragging on for ever! Not that I don't have things to do but not feeling very ambitious like usual. I watched an episode of Hoarders and that motivated me to take out the trash and recycling! Also dumped my tomato plants, petunias, and one hibiscus that were all dead. My strawberries are all done for too. Potted plants just don't last long with the heat and wind here. They dry out in just hours and I can't keep up with watering them enough.

Still a hot day so I got back from the dumpster all sweaty. Should get to the dishes today too yet. Need to make something for dinner soon too. My tummy has been a little sensitive the past couple days so maybe will just make some soup.

Irmi, is everyone required to wear a mask at church too? Hope so.

Beth, I hope you find out what happened to your worker. Seems people don't have the respect and decency now days to just call and say they changed their minds. We get a lot of no-shows at work too, for interviews or the first day of work. I would never do that and years back no one did either.

Have a good evening! :D

I fixed it so it now says Saturday. That way the rest of us will not spend the rest of the week confused!

Gorgeous day today! Sunny and warm, very pleasant today. Picked up a new computer mouse at Best Buy and a few things from Trader Joe's. Even though things are supposedly opening up here in Tennessee, most stores are still closed. And those that are open are limiting the number of people who are allowed in at one time. Others like Best Buy are allowing internet orders only and you pick stuff up at curbside. Did not see any stores completely open, except maybe Hobby Lobby. It had a packed parking lot.

Barbie, yes, masks and gloves. I can't play with gloves, so will forego those. No coffee hour as the building we use for that is too small to accommodate people being 6 feet apart. So after the service, everyone leaves. I'm wondering how many people will show up. I'll let all of you know when I know. It's a scary world we live in but we'll all adapt.

Judy, thanks for making my day! LOL! I was surprised when I saw the title that no one from church had called to see why I wasn't there.

for some reason have been waking up early way before the alarm goes off but do I get up and do anything??? not on your life.. I pretty much tried to go back to sleep grumbled about the mattress decided that I was cold yesterday it felt hot... (when I travel the metal flower resides on the bed to protect my comforter I put an old flannel sheet on the comforter then the flower..) so because its been cold I have kept that sheet on top then a throw on top of it... since it was warmer yesterday I didn't use the sheet but this morning was cold so think I still need the sheet...perhaps different pj's the ones Ive been wearing are super soft but also super warm... just as I was getting up knock on the door actually had seen the truck come in then saw it starting to leave and pull in so I was getting out of bed to see who it was... it's been several months to forget whose truck is what color... it was my grandson wanted to say good morning... my dd was right behind him to ensure I guess that he not break quarantine too much (he gives hugs regardless) anyway she said that I could go with them Tues to clean their house I said hmm it's been at least two weeks since I've done a wash think that is what I need to do.... so they decided that when I was ready to help they will accept the help..I would have gone today if it hadn't been for the quarantine...
did my dishes then looked at the table and though naw don't wanna want to work on my Swedish weave instead so did that then a nap and then it was supper time... even had stuff planned started cooking the sausage and had the egg in the pie tin (going to make french toast) when my gs (another one) came to the door and handed me a bowl of food his mom had him bring down to me... I told him thank you K he said you ought to thank mom she made it .... had to laugh and did send her a text. so guess the french toast sausage and eggs will wait till tomorrow...
one of the video's that I watched was on how to get the fluffiest moistest scrambled egg... not heard of doing it that way before but just might have to try it...
so other than getting the dishes done the birds fed (gluttons that they are) and two rows of Swedish weave done not much in my world was accomplished.. Perhaps Monday... Sunday I do as little as possible usually have a station on that has Sabbath Music for the day. One day I am sure we will be able to return to more normal actives in the mean time we do what we do and be thankful we are still here some are not.
Haven't talked with Kerry since her surgery but read on FB that she is doing well... sounds like she will have to wear a back brace and bled a lot had to have a transfusion so was or perhaps still in the hospital.. wasn't too clear on that...I knew that you would want to know Lyn... she also has bought a house in CA can't remember the name of the city but somewhat loosely in your neck of the woods Barbie but not the town you are in Pretty clear as to her where abouts right?

Sheila, I would like to know about that scrambled egg recipe!

I thought I heard, while I was in Q, that Kerry was looking to buy in La Quinta. Does that sound familiar? Not very far from me, just the next town over. Did she have her surgery around here or somewhere else?

Crazy stuff going on all over. One city had people threatening business owners and employees because they refused to wear a mask that was required to enter, so the mayor decided to forgo the mask rules for all the businesses! So I guess threats of violence work to legally get you what you want now. One town in northern CA decided to open up their town in spite of the governors restrictions. Same with the beaches in Orange County. I guess laws don't matter anymore. Just make some threats and do what you want. :x And then there is all the painted graffiti that someone did on rocks out in the Mohave Desert this week. Just so sad. I don't understand what is wrong with people now. :(

Sorry, just a late night rant!

The winds have picked up a lot tonight so I opened up the windows and letting it blow thru here. Feels good! I am hoping for a good night's sleep!

as to the method of cooking the scrambled eggs thought I'd saved it don't see it and am on computer don't see where I can search for it either...
but it was made in a sauce pan not skillet... cold saucepan add in 3 eggs not beaten and 1 tablespoon butter and using a rubber plate scraper stir till it is done if I can find it will share it on FB but that was the method seems weird not sure if it was the stay at home cook or natasha sorta think Natasha though
