Strawberry Fields for RVers

Just updated my blog with some new photos of this campground I am staying in. It is brand-new and has a really nice laundry room and bathroom facility. Cost is $25 per night (plus tax) for full hookups and I paid $333 for two weeks (including tax), which is a good deal. No pool yet and no picnic tables or fire rings, either. And the grass is pretty sparse with no trees yet, but still a good deal. All sites are paved and pull-throughs.

Other advantages is a small grocery store and ACE hardware within walking distance. On the edge of town, and on the other end is a Walgreens and Walmart Superstore, which is unusual for this small town.

Looks like a wonderful place to hunker down in. Sadly, when it is finished it may not have dust but it will have all those family attractive features and the busy golf carts......but hopefully by then you will be able to hop between the COE and the state parks again...... And as the amenities increase and "improve" I suspect , who wants to guess that the price will be adjusted. Many will like it as it builds out..... Having a small town with just enough stores close by is very nice....

You are right, Tina! There is an optimum size for RV parks and campgrounds, and this one is eventually going to be huge. They said they filled up completely this winter and raced to finish the two rows of the new area.

Thinking about all my favorite campgrounds, they are all about 25-60 sites total. Any more than that and you get crowds. I also dislike all the golf carts--don't mind the bikes, but golf carts are a pain. And sites have to be far enough apart so that someone is not barbecuing outside your window or enjoying a campfire next to your gas tank!
