Sunny Sunday Morning!!

Good Morning All!!!! Guess I'm first in the kitchen this morning, and only here to be sure the table is set, coffe going and ready for those dropping in. I'm getting ready to start packing where I left off yesterday, so will not tarry! Of course, I will grab a Diet Coke now and then eat a bite later. I wish a beautiful day to all of you where ever you are and whatever you may be doing.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Not a bad day out there at all, but sure would love to see some warm sun...perhaps later.

Thanks for getting the coffee on, Lotus! Happy packing and getting ready for your exciting move!

I managed to get my trees trimmed and the dead branches hauled off to the woods yesterday, and weeded out a couple of the rock gardens---between the heavy intermittent rain and sleet and small hail showers we experienced! The black flies did a number on my face again, as I had forgotten to put on skin insect repellant. They are so sneaky, and I sometimes don't feel their first bites, (they have an anesthetic in their saliva) so they can sit there and suck up my blood until they are almost too heavy to fly off and make more babies! One got me in the corner of my eye which looks as if I got punched today. ACK!

My goal for today will be to measure up my dome structure and really make some plans for covering it.....on the top with shade and rain material, and on the sides with screening. A few of the websites sent yesterday gave me some good ideas about how to fit/construct a cover. My dome seems to be made of much smaller sections than most of the ones in the diagrams online, but those plans should still work. I was intrigued by the dome kits that have the materials for covering underneath the structure itself....suspended with those neat clamps they sell. But mine, as it's already put together and not easy to dismantle, will have the covering made to go on the outside.

I saved the laundry for today, as the clothes I wore yesterday needed to be done, too. Other than those two jobs, I think I will walk to the pond and check out things down there. I didn't sleep there last night, as the forecast was for a cold night with more rain after midnight. Didn't happen, and didn't get too cold, but.....

Have a fun Sunday, and check in with us so we know what's up in your lives! Oh yes...lilacs are nearly opened up, so will take some pics of them today! And maybe pick some to make my house smell good!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

well good morning ladies
got up early and have been out to do chores already, and ran over to daughters house
to check on her cat as she's off having fun for a few days but she returns this evening.
She went to San Diego and she called yesterday to tell me it was "cold" brrrr, 60
She's such a woos, and as a child she always hated the snow and cold in Colorado.
Getting caught up on laundry today as I didn't do a bit of it yesterday
A nice bit of cloud cover this morning but its starting to burn off now so its still going
to be hot today, I think our triple digit temps are here to stay now.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Good Morning
The weatherman finally delivered; yesterday was both rain free and plenty of sunshine for a change. Today will be more of the same. On the hot side, near 90 with high humidity but one cannot always have it all and for now sun is good.
The sun has done wonders with improving my mood; wish I could say the same for my ambition. I did accomplish a few things yesterday and should do more today. Have already done what has become a daily battle to save a few little plants I potted on back porch. Seems every morning the chipmunks come to play in the pots, digging out some of the plants. I replant them but at this rate they are struggling just to stay alive. Nonetheless, I am determined to have something bloom out there.
Need to go by a couple of the antique malls that are open on Sunday; I do have a few little pieces to put out. Today being the last day of the month, I'm hoping to learn that more sales have gotten me at least enough income to cover the rent and fees.
Will also take Nicky for a play date so he can get some exercise.
Last week proved to be an expensive one. Had to replace a sump pump, attic fan, and have HVAC serviced. UGH and Ouch! Am hoping nothing breaks this week.
Wishing you a great day.

Ouch is right! Don't ya just hate it when stuff seems to break all at once. Jeez! The sump pump probably caved in because of all the rain we've had down here and it was tired of working overtime!! You'll have a better week...at least the weather's on the upswing.
