Good Morning Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Saturday

Postby Birdie » Sat Oct 19, 2019 9:13 am

‘Tis a nice mornin in north FL. We did not get the ‘bad stuff’ from the Tropical Storm they forecasted for us - at least not yet! I am still unpacking my things that were in storage for 10 years. Every box is Christmas all over again. I am so blessed with so much ‘stuff’. But I have plans to dispose of it. There are a couple of thrift stores here in the Village and the Sheriff’s Youth Ranches have a thrift store in Live Oak. So it will all find good places to land. I haven’t gotten into the kitchen things yet. Kind of dreading that as I had a large kitchen with lots of storage and bunches of things. I did use my Mom’s 2 quart Corning dish and made a chicken casserole. That came in handy. Okay, friends get in here and tell us what YOU are doing on this beautiful Saturday.

Does look like a nice day out. It's 63 degrees at 10:28. Woke with my arthritis in my neck hurting, so will go take a hot shower, then probably head to Costco/Walmart for few things. Maybe dig out a few Halloween decorations. Not a lot planned. Might grab one of my leaf blowers and start moving the leaves around but the bigger one has to be plugged to a cord and that's annoying, I might replace with battery power unit. I do have a small battery unit and have to see how effective that really is. I had bought it to clear my camping mat.
Have a good day all.

Good Morning!

I happen to be using the laptop and can type. :)

I moved to Western Washington north of Seattle Tuesday to days and days of rain! The Sling will not be unloaded before it goes into storage Friday. I'm renting a car Monday and maybe Tuesday so I can finish getting ready for the cruise. This park is at the fairgrounds/speedway. A bunch of small cars are over there racing now, but there is to be a monster truck show tonight and tomorrow.

Birdie, been there done that with storage! Hoping we hear from Lyn soon.

Wishing you all a happy day!

Good afternoon Birdie, Velda and all who follow. Congrats on your new-to-your rv, Birdie.

This area is full of burrs so Ty and I have to really take care. I carried him through one area. Then I have to take my shoes off before walking inside. Other than the dust and dirt blown in yesterday which I can't seem to get rid of, I'm constantly having to watch my step inside otherwise. But the weather is close to perfect and it's a small price to pay. I'm surprised we've avoided then so far.

Right now we have one fly that came through the door with us earlier... Driving us both nuts.

Just a relaxing day!

Anita you snuck in. Hi to you also!

Hi everyone!

Finally a relatively free day for me. Looks like it's going to reach the mid-90s here on Tuesday. Will only last a couple of days though so we'll survive.

Went walking this morning with a group of ladies found via the NextDoor website. Funny, although all of them live around here none had ever been to the park that we met at. It was a lovely, rather hidden park very close by - only problem is no animals are allowed in the park or I'd walk Sadie over there all the time. Will defintiely take Olivia there to play. Looking forward to walking with this group on Saturday mornings.

Work has become work. Exteremly challenging & not much fun anymore - will try to come up with a creative idea to continue to contribute while working less hours or possibly on a contract basis.

Birdie, love your rig. Really liked seeing who was selling it. just gotta love this group!
JudyB, hope the shingles continue to subside.
Tina, what a trip! thanks for sharing it with us.
Beth, glad you & Ty finally have some time to relax.
Anita, hope you enjoy the cruise (I really enjoyed the one I went on with the kids a couple of years ago)- can't wait to hear all about it.
Velda, hope your arthritis calms down. A trip to Costco can fix almost anything.
Lyn, hope you can chime in to let us know how you're doing.
Take care, everyone.

Been a stinky day today!! :o

Decided to go to the club to get a hydro massage and tan. Got halfway there before noticing a foul smell inside the car. Turns out when I took the trash to the dumpster yesterday, I forgot about 2 bags in the backseat, one of which is full of used kitty litter (ie; diarrhea). Found a dumpster to get it out of my car! Car still stinks tho! There wasn't any wind overnight but it started getting breezy this morning and by the time I got out of the club, I could smell the stench from the dump fire south of here. I stopped at WM and then went straight home. Lola then dumped in her litterbox and ended up stepping in it so I had to wash her feet. She is still kind of stinky. I need some fresh air!!

Still need to cover the golf cart. My neighbor is having a golf cart guy come by next Thursday to fill the water in her batteries so I will have him check my cart out then too.

So glad I did the outside stuff done yesterday. Between the smelly smoke and the heat today, not a good day to be outdoors. Not getting much done inside tho. Just watching Ghost Hunters.

**Don't forget to watch the "Patsy & Loretta" movie tonight on Lifetime, if you are interested.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

you never know what a Saturday will bring sometimes it's a busy hectic day or days not much going on ... today this was a not much going on day... Last night I started some sour dough start to make pancakes tonight but the ones that would eat it decided to go to a movie tonight so tomorrow after church I will make pancakes and sausage... was going to make soup tomorrow night but it's SIL's b'day so meatloaf it is... I think the stuff I got to make soup with will be hopefully Monday night one can never tell... the nursery here had a fall festival so we took the baby and went but the weather was much to be desired and she is only 4 months old so wasn't upset when the adults eat and she didn't get to do anything... however I've been wanting a clock some times I just want to look up and see the time and they had this really neat one may have to slip over before I go and get one... it's just figuring out where to put it so I can see it in most areas...did try to start the truck but it still doesn't want to think it needs to be jumped and since I didn't plan on going anywhere to charge it up will do that on Monday. Hopefully we will be going out to Rexburg to pick up the Journey... if so will take the truck to get it that should charge it up and will get my shepherd's hook... stopped at the store for some stuff to put into the soup and ice for the fridge knew it needed to be wiped out from the last two bags of ice this time I got block will see how it does am almost thinking that I will just use the cooler it's not getting as cold as I had hoped so don't have any milk in it or cheese or stuff like that... hopefully will find a tech when I get down to Q the one I typically go to I don't think gets there till in late Nov not sure I want to go that long but I will call him and see what his plans are... it's not nice to be without a working fridge... I was wiping out the water from the last ice and wringing it out into a plastic bucket that part of it chipped away so that slipped spilling water all over the floor and rugs.. they are out drying out on the tailgate of the truck in the snow... don't think that is going to work.. but at least the tv is back was aggravated watching a Good Witch that I wanted to see and the tv stopped missed half of it.. it was a 2 hr movie tonight...
so that was my exciting day...
the hole is made in my board to let the oil drain through yea!! not sure if it's can't think of the word but tightened down... will need to get the right size of wrench so I can tightened it down if needed something I am going to have to be diligent about checking...
hope all is well with all ... I bet you are getting excited Anita.. and yes Lyn we need to hear how you are
