You Gotta Love New Mexico Weather

Postby retiredhappy » Sun May 17, 2009 9:55 am

Yesterday after I finished work I went to the pool for a while. Later in the evening the clouds rolled in and we had a doozy of a storm - rain, hail, thunder and lightening. The white stuff on the ground by my birdbath is hail. Half an hour later the stars are out and it smells wonderful outside. Today is sunny and beautiful and best of all - NO HUMIDITY!!!!

It has been crazy all over this year! Enough already. I've seen more rain the last couple of weeks then I saw the 45 years we lived in CA and NV! Thunder and lightening all night for a couple of nights. About 6 house fires in surrounding areas and lots of trees are just falling over the ground is so wet.

Yep, 4 days ago we got the same sized hail. Today, 85 and not a cloud in the sky. By Wed. we are predicted back in the 60s.
Glad you are ok, though, Karen and Carol.

What a mess! Wow. We have had cold and rain, but nothing like that, so far, and may we NOT get hail and violent thunderstorms. Good grief....this climate change stuff is getting annoying and scary and too real.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Weather is crazy everywhere! We've had more hail already this year than I've seen in the past ten years. Major cold front passed thru here last night and we are expected to set new record low tonight. Will warm back up quickly however with high humidity to go with it. At least we had a sunny day today and same for tomorrow. A most welcome change from all our recent rain.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
