It's Sunday isn't it?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Sunday isn't it?

Sometimes I'm not sure - Managed to get an Internet connection today from the motorhome. Still haven't shown up to install the Satellite dish on the house......Again power and internet have been sporadict - we've had over 8 inches of rain in last 4/5 days. There are lakes where there are supposed to be fields and parking lots. Last year is was June 6 when the terrible floods hit. Sure hope that doesn't repeat itself. Yesterday our son would have been 44. For some reason the days leading up to the anniversaries seem to be worse then the actual day and the time after.
I've been working on my window, have the center done on one of them - but having trouble with the border glass grrrrrrrrrrrrr.... The house still isn't completely painted - too much rain. Towmorrow we are renting a "cherry picker/bucket" (if it doesn't rain) so the painter can reach the last big area right in front. Then it will almost be done.
Going to try and catch up with things on line and try to post some pictures of our flowers - we'll see.
Hope you all are well and enjoying the day.

Good Morning to all. Busy day here in our home. Sold my office furniture and guest bedroom furniture and will spend today emptying all and packing, as the new owners will pick up tomorrow. In my office it is amazing to run across some of the things I've saved over the years that must have been important at one time for some reason! Going to slow down a few minutes for my morning Diet Coke, and may just have some toast and jelly this morning. Hope everyone has a happy Sunday!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYBODY!

I took these latest pics just now....37 degrees out there now! I am afraid for all these flowering fruit plants tonight as the forecast is for very cold temps. Sigh........

Wild violets amid wild strawberry leaves.

Wild strawberry blossoms.

And my poor little lilacs!

I sure hope it doesn't stay in the 20s for very long, or there will be no flowers or fruit this year. At least it isn't raining yet today...might snow instead!

I can't remember who asked me about Saranac Lake and Whiteface Mountain....somebody who used to summer here, and I can't find that post again. Yes, this is that place! I'm about 20 miles from Lake Placid, and about 13 miles from Saranac Lake. Whoever you are, c'mon up for a visit! I have plenty of room in my yard for RVs to park and boondock.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning from San Miguel! I am on my own here, R went to Mass, B and Pai went with owner Ruth to local shop for breakfast and coffee. It is VERY beautiful!!! Our little villa sits at the top of the lot overlooking the courtyard, fish pond and owner's residence. To the left is a "casita", one bedroom unit, no one is here. The doves are cooing, fountain bubbling, birds chirping, it doesn't get much nicer than this! Last night we arrived late due to the storms in South West. Just time for a quick walk about to grab some food and see El Jardin. More later with pictures, it was amazing in the evening light! Sorry for all the exclamation points, it's hard not to feel that way. :) Hope you all have lovely Sundays wherever you are...

Well we have been granted another blue skies and suns morning, although they are calling for a chance of rain later. They said that yesterday and it never happened.
We had set up all the kid's tents on Friday and took most of them down yesterday. It is mainly to make sure they have what they need. So if anyone comes across a red rain fly and a red rain fly pole, they belong to one of our tents. Granted it is the spare tent that is used it the site allows and the kids bring a bunch of friends. We left the small tent up on the back deck. Kodie loves camping at the house in a tent. So we have a small older tent that pretty much lives on the back deck most of the summer. Last night it was actually Zeke (DS 12) who slept in it with the Raider our German Shepherd. I am sure Raider was quite happy to be sleeping with his boy. As he normally sleeps outside Zeke's room every night.

Today is Sunday....the slow day at the smith house. This is the day that we rarely have any place to go, so we usually spend it doing things around the house. Getting laundry folded, socks mated, rooms cleaned, etc..the weekly deep cleaning day.

You all have a great day.
