Good morning and happy new year. A windy day here in my area and temps falling as I post this. Guess the high temp was sometime during the early morning hours! I said rabbits after I wished Rascal a good year! We were still up at midnight which isn’t unusual for me so watched the ball drop in NYC. That about all my excitement for the new year celebrating! I hope everyone has a good year with new adventures and good health. Safe travels.

I actually remembered Rabbits, 3 times! New York, Chicago & Arizona time zones. Then woke up to a full rainbow too! Hopefully will be a good year now.

Good morning and happy new year
No rabbits for me.
North Scottsdale had snow yesterday up by the McDowell mountains, unusual but not impossible. I had rain but we stayed warm.
Spent 3 hours on the phone with insurance yesterday getting switched over to a new Dr. Fired the old one for not addressing the cause and just treating symptoms. Spent quite a long day in ER a few days ago doing tests that should have been ordered along time ago to sort out the chest pains. There's more to come but I have more confidence in the new Dr as getting to the issue and cause.
My thoughts have turned to concentrating on getting the move done and my needs for setting up the fifthwheel into fulltime living once again. Will need a circular saw to build a new deck/porch and skirting. (skirting is required) Will see if tractor supply is open today, they have a nice little one that is affordable. Need to pick up a new 30amp plug and cut off the old damaged one. Have looked at and priced out the portable kennel fence for the dogs, no decision there but leaning to getting two of those panel setups as I could load those up on the back of the motorhome for my travels.
It honestly feels good to direct my thoughts to reality and know what I'm doing.
I see blue sky out the window and the gray clouds are moving away. It will be good to get some fresh air and sunshine today. Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Happy New Year on this chilly 23° right now. AND the high is only going to be 37° I like chilly, not freezing cold. Can't wait to get my power bill LOL I watched the ball drop in NYC at 9pm LOL then went to bed and was awakened at midnight by fireworks and some brief gun shots, woke the dog up...she doesnt like noise. So I immediately said Rabbits about 3 times. First time in a few months I have actually remembered.

Heartguard and use the dishwasher day LOL I like washing my dishes so rarely use the dishwasher. Need to use it once a month to keep it lubed...such a chore.

Happy New Year! And I said rabbits at midnight. Maybe it'll work all year lol. I slept in and skipped the first day hike... But Ty and I will do a good hike like we do everyday. Seems like the winds are picked up this morning. But the sun is out and the temps are rising to 50 today before a big drop again tomorrow.

Here's hoping for a happy, healthy 2019 for all of us.

I was sleeping soundly at midnight and the clueless people across the street started shooting guns or fireworks, probably both. Above the noise of the dogs I heard a crashing sound. I got up and turned on the porch light and then went back to bed to answer the next door neighbors texts about the shots. This morning I had company who asked what happened to our window well it was all crushed. It looks like someone put their foot right through the middle, bet they are limping this morning! Glad I didn't open the door and look out as the window well is about 8" from the front door.

I said "rabbits" just after midnight. I hope it works!

Couldn't get to sleep tho, since my mind kept racing. I think I finally fell asleep around 4am. Got up early to watch the Rose Parade and it was hard to stay awake, altho it was really good. Unfortunately, there was one float that caught on fire and stalled. It stopped the parade dead in it's tracks about 15 minutes before the end, so the bands and floats behind it were not able to get around it. A towtruck came and towed it about a block before the tow cable broke. Never did get to see what was behind it. Feel bad for those bands and especially the last two floats, considering all the money, time, and hard work that went into them, and they didn't get a chance to finish the parade. People there were leaving in droves, not wanting to wait for the rest of the parade.

Ava, I still want to know the details of your move! Where are you going?

My sinuses have been draining this morning. Doesn't look like a sinus infection yet. Hope it doesn't turn into that.

Might take a little nap here and then get some things done around here later.

BJ, that is scary knowing someone was right there by your front door last night! I have motion sensor flood lights on both the front and back of my house. Mostly the raccoons that trip them at night but I feel more secure if someone is traipsing around out there.

Alice and Anne, I had an interesting experience with my doctor's office in SD. My first visit was my first year working up there, 5 summers ago. (This summer will be my 6th.) Every year after, summers 2, 3 and 4, I received phone messages AND texts that my annual exam was due. Each year I went in. Last summer, summer 5, my first year on Medicare, no calls or texts. Interesting, in my mind, and, every year I had to question charges I had to pay that should have been covered. So I also wonder if they put in wrong codes that they can't get away with for those on Medicare.

On the other hand we argue every year because I won't take statins. Heck we argue over my numbers. He never considers how high my good cholesterol numbers are.

I'm not intending to visit this year unless I have a problem and next year look for a doctor in Arizona.

Happy New Year and Rabbits to everyone. Chris (son) and I enjoyed several appetizers for dinner last night. I then built my Lego 2018 Special Edition Carousel to go with the train we built. It was under 300 pieces so only took a hour or so. Then we played Connect Four for a while. After that, Chris took to YouTube and took us on a world tour of New Years fireworks displays. That was interesting. Suddenly I looked at my watch and it was 4 minutes after midnight! So he opened a bottle of sparkling cider and we toasted to 2019. We both acknowledged it's weird, Mel hasn't been gone 4 months yet, but now we say he died last year. Off to new beginnings. I have reservations for a west coast RV/camping rally at Palisades state park in Oregon in later June. That commits me to getting the van it's service appointments and maintenance done.
Hope all with ailments are soon recovered or at least getting proper treatment. I'm lucky I am with a good internist whose practice is mostly devoted to seniors. And he listens to me!

Happy New Year All! Slept right through it! Did say RABBITS when I got up.

I will be taking a long trip in the spring. Going bird watching in Ely, MN. Visiting people along the way.

BJ, glad no one was hurt at your home. Alice, sorry to hear of your ills. Velda, glad to hear you will be camping in June.

Looking forward to getting out to Q...even if it is cold!!!

It was REALLY cold last night--dropped down to 27 in the middle of the night. So, you all know how well insulated these RVs are. I had my two new electric heaters going, though I turned down my front furnace to save propane. Also, my front privacy curtain only goes part way down in my front cab area, so a lot of cold air was coming underneath from the windshield and side windows. I also have a short curtain across the bunk area, so I pinned a long curtain I have to the short curtain so it went completely across the front area and blocked the cold air. That did help the draft. Then I crawled underneath my down comforter in bed. It is a lightweight comforter, but I throw on a small quilted throw, so the combination is really warm. I even remembered to say "rabbits."

I woke up at 9:15 am, but stayed in bed reading until 11:00 am because it was so nice and cozy! Finally got up and turned up the front furnace. The sun is out now, also, so it is finally nice and warm. Will go down to 28 tonight, but for a shorter period because it is expected to warm up tomorrow. Rain the rest of the week, but highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s, with lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which is a lot better!

Headed in tomorrow to get my platelets checked. They have been incredibly low to the point where I have been told to not fall and to be especially careful handling sharp knives. Posted about this in the members only area.
