MIA Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MIA Wednesday

Mornin' ladies~~~

Where is everyone? Busy figuring out if they are evacuating? Remodeling? Working? Other?

I'm still in the UP but leaving this park tomorrow then heading towards St Ignace for a few days and from there will start working my way towards SD again. Working with a dealer out in Mitchell looking for a new pick 'em up truck so I can get a gennie at some point. Then south but not sure yet if I'll head west again or east. Decisions, decisions, decisions!
That's all from me. Stay safe those that ate in the storm path or fire areas.

Good morning Cheryl and all who follow!

Nothing exciting here. Finally got a good nights sleep last night! Today will move the rest of my things from the guest bath and bedroom into the master before going to work. Tomorrow will be cleaning day. Oh fun!

Combed out the kitties last night with the flea comb. Just found some dead ones on Lola but Emily had quite a few live ones on her yet. Not sure why since I put the drops on her last week. So frustrating! Will have to keep combing her until I don't see any more but worry that they will drop off around the house and start the infestation all over again! Maybe I need to stick her in a bath of Dawn for about 20 minutes to kill them all! I would probably need about 20 stitches in me if I tried that tho!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning, Beautiful sunny, not to warm, not to cold, day around here! Same ole, same ole for me. Today its the WSI luncheon. Seeing as we are all dying off, not to many attend anymore. Don't know how long these luncheons will continue.

Still attempting to get my signature picture and avatar on my site. I follow directions explicitly and the computer does not want to do what I want it to do!!! Darn computer. I work each day until I just get to frustrated, then quit for the day. If you are wondering about the things I am posting, that's why!

Good afternoon! Running late today, had a sleep study last night and I didn’t get much sleep. First study I had went well with a nice comfortable double bed. Last night it was a hospital type bed with the horrible mattress they seem to always have. I’m used to a bigger bed where I can spread out and last night it wasn’t happening. so bugged out of there as soon as I could and came home, took care of the dogs and went back to bed! Plus I’m not used to going to sleep as early as they wanted me to! My sad story!

We had way more rain the other day then I thought. I sit in a higher area so usually okay. But saw lots of pictures from around town and it was bad. I needed to go to the hardware store yesterday and the whole intersection was still under water. Big grocery store was an island with water all around it. So sure hope we don’t get the rain from the hurricane. Hope everyone that live in the impact zones have gotten out by now. Sure glad I didn’t try to plan a trip to the Outer Banks this year! Well, that’s about the news from here. I need to get moving for a dentist appointment in awhile. Be safe everyone.

Been busy this morning. Started my HUGE project for the winter. My gardener Jose is taking out my big huge stupid hedge that is around my back yard. It has to be 20+ years old and is all dead inside and grows like crazy on the outside. I am sick of dealing with it. Once he gets it all out he is putting up a fence for me. Going to cost a few bucks for sure but think it will be worth it for me.

I paid quite a bit to have my patio redone a few years ago and I love it. Porcelain tiled sitting area and it is such easy clean up so well worth it. Hopefully I wont have any other big projects for a couple of years.

Afternoon from me too. Was busy up till just a bit ago with finishing the painting on deck rails, transplanting some flowers and taking the ties from around the front flowerbeds out. Raked out the dirt and transferred some to the bed I transplanted flowers to. Am going to just spread dirt from the other one out over the sandy area there. Maybe grass will grab hold. Decided the plants were getting too much sun out there. Will do something else next spring, maybe couple bushes or maybe nothing.

Went out to breakfast this morning for a change. Love Big Boys Belgium waffles. Tomorrow and Friday, will paint one section of deck and touch up the rest. Then think a trip to Mackinaw City might be in the works for Saturday. Always take a day off and do something fun between my work projects. Planning to head out with trailer end of month at least one more time.

Ty and I are sitting in the lounge area at Ford while the motorhome gets an oil change, check-up. We've already been to Walmart and Sam's Club (placed both those orders online for pickup). Then I got my hair cut. Not the best. I like the back and it's what I asked for so I can't complain lol. Now at Ford. I started out at the store this morning and the Sam's order is for the store, so that's where we'll stop before going back and hooking up again.

The store is really winding down. Food service is closed and I did most of the numbers as well as ending inventory for it last night.

Saturday I'll be coming back to Rapid to work another adoption event.

That's all that's going on in my life.

Hi everyone!

We have been spared one more time from another hurricane and I slept better last night than I have for several days.

Okay, after Martha posted, I could never have a sleep study in a hospital. If I can't sleep at home, I really don't want to bother others because I'm up most of the night. I can get up & watch TV or read. Some things are very personal to me.

We hope to leave for Ocala in about a month.

About all I did was take up some flamingo pj bottoms. The top fit but the bottoms were about 2 sizes too big. The stores have caught on to the flamingo pjs and Walmart comes out with new ones every month or so.

Lyn, I'm afraid the club I belong to is going to fizzle or die out. The 4-H leaders need to recruit younger mother of the kids that are showing animals. It is getting harder and harder to raise money to support the activities. I know what you mean about your computer. I was so use to my son doing everything for me. I had to turn my phone off for 2 weeks because something was running and used up most of the data. I think I finally found and deleted it. I got something on my computer and it took me 2 days to figure out how to remove it. I'm lucky it still works after all the digging and searching I did.

Barbie, be sure and video it if you decide to bath Lola. I have so many scratches on my arms I'm surprised the dermatologist pa didn't ask me about them.

Sharon, I hope I never have to do a sleep study. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to go to sleep. I bought my Vivofit mostly to see how much I sleep. I quit worrying about it most of the time. It just makes me mad when I know I need to get up early and can't go to sleep.

I finally got aggravated enough to move the Directv box from on the table to under the table. That was the cats favorite place to sleep and they were always changing the channel or turning it off. Hope they won't have enough room to sleep on it now.

For lunch I put some shrimp dip from the deli on some pasta I cooked. Whoa, was that ever hot. I don't know how someone could eat the dip. I'll be looking for some Pepcid after while.

Still watching the weather. Right now they aren't showing anything going into the gulf next week. We are suppose to head to Texas next week. There is another 2 inches of rain in the gauge and it looks like it might rain again. The mosquitoes are terrible. I need to go feed the outside cats and all the cans of Off are in the camper.

Cat scratches would go nicely with my flea bites!

How to Wash a Cat
BYMICHELLEON
1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. At this point the cat will self-agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet – the cat is actually enjoying this!

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a “power-wash” and “rinse.”

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand well back, behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the toilet and the cat will be sparkling clean.
