FOGGY SATURDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FOGGY SATURDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sat May 09, 2009 6:35 am

GOOD MORNING ALL YOU CAMPERS!!!

It's 52 degrees outside, overcast and foggy. Yesterday turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day up here---sunny and warm! I managed to get a lot done, although the grass didn't dry out enough to mow. Maybe today.

My revamped bed, now with 7 inches of memory foam on it, was GREAT last night! No backache, no hip aches----YIPPEEEE!!! It's built up so high now, however, that Molly falls off when she tries to jump up there! Guess I'll have to get her a stepping stool like mine, but one she can launch from.

Coffee is Hazlenut Creme again, with French Vanilla creamer. I still have some chicken selects things from Micky D's, which I might have for breakfast in a few hours down the line. I have no clue what I will do today, as it all depends upon the weather. If it says it might be nice, I will probably move down to the leanto so I can hear the peepers again. If they are saying thunderstorms, however, I will stay right up here! I still need to chainsaw up the fallen trees across the roads on the back trails.

I hope all of you who are on the roads will start to find better weather. Carol from the southern part of this NY state has had HORRID weather, as have you all in the midwest and even in the Pacific Northwest. Keep your eyes to the sky, and pray for improvement soon!

Check in with us to let us know what's up and what you are finding to share with us. :)

Good Morning whether sunny or soggy......They didn't want us to work today.....everyone on this team is happy. I had looked at a computer screen way to may hours.....It's the butt in the chair that gets me the most. My knees and ankles can tell that i have been sitting too long. The pups here tell me that i have been away from the house too long. Herschel is sitting patiently beside this chair though...he is confident that he gets to go visit his friends at the nursing home. Need to brush him and Remi out a bit and print some pictures. I was warned not to come in without pics of the young'uns. Everything here is wet and muggy. Hey, but its Ohio in spring. I still have two dogs that need grooming.... with the clippers. And I need to run some flowers down for my step mother for Mother's Day.No big plans around here. Husband headed down to Berea KY to go to an Open House for a potter he knows and will be back tonight because he plans to set up his "booth" at the Waynesville, Oh spring arts fair or whatever they call it. Personally, I was hoping for some sunshine and to able to take the kayak down one of the smaller creeks that doesn't carry so much water when the big rivers rise with the rain. Take adventure as you see it. Enjoy the moments.

Good morning.
We actually saw a little sunshine yesterday but woke up to booming thunder and heavy rain again this morning. This is really getting old. Nicky is not a happy camper either; he does not like thunder and so far getting him to go out this morning has been mission impossible.
Fresh Market is advertising 2 dozen roses for $20.00 this weekend. Am trying to decide if I want to spend the money on flowers to brighten up this rainy gloom or save it for a bingo game Tuesday night.
I'd better get moving or the day will be gone.
Safe travels to those on the move.

OK, I realize it's not morning for some of you any longer. Peaches let me sleep in till almost 9 today! Woke up about 6:30 and couldn't see a reason to get up yet - can't believe I slept so late. Walked her and found a garage sale. Wasn't much good there, but if I'd had money in my pocket might have spent a couple dollars.

Today is still devoted to getting my websites updated. Hopefully will finish them today, then can work on my personal one - and on uploading pics, etc.

Feeling sorry for those of you getting so saturated, but please, don't bring it my way!

Well I know it is not morning anymore as I sit here eating grilled chicken. We had an early morning..DS age 18 left for a Backpacking overnight hike at 7am. Then DS age 12 had an 8:30 am baseball game. The weather is wonderful we have clear blue skies....YEA!!!!

We finish up lunch and then we are heading out on our "test" hike. It is a trial that is a 3 mile loop, with some up and down sections. We are seeing what our special needs DD can do. This trail will give us a good base idea and then we can better gauge what hikes we can do in Bryce and Zion. We have another that she can do that is also 2 1/2 mile loop, but it is basically flat, graveled and very accessible.

The trailer is back home will in it's storage spot all went well at the shop. It passed it's spring inspection with flying colors. We went ahead and had them wash and wax it and clean the rubber roof. We really haven't done that in the 2 years we have owned in now. We always have to find a place to take it as our storage area doesn't have water.

The hitch has now been adjusted...I am pretty miffed about that. When we bought it we had 2500 Suburban. Then that was totaled in an accident. We replaced it with a Dodge Ram 2500. I knew last year..that it didn't look right and I thought it needed to be lower. When we took it in to the dealership for the spring inspection we asked and they were like...nope looks fine. Well needless to say..this year..after a third bad service experience at the dealership, we opted to take it to the local service center. I asked them to take a look and guess what...it was too high. So now it is readjusted and towing it felt much better.

Goooooood Afternoon Sistahs!!!!

It's the tail end of my lunch so I thought I would stop in and say "HI".

We have been at work for 3 days now. Doing spring cleaning on the cabins that have been shut up since November of last year. I'm glad that we don't have to do this kind of cleaning every week!! But the cabins are coming along and cleaning up just fine. :)

Elevation has gotten to me a couple of times. But I am taking it easy and drinking LOTS of water. Kelly is handling th elevation better than I am of course. Young brat!!

But I wanted to check in and just let ya'll know that we are here and doing fine. I will have to see about getting back on here and posting some more.

Love to all

This will be very short because I'm using Carol's computer that the letters have all worn off the keys. Not being a typist, I have to see the letters to know what I'm typing. Just wanted to let everyone know I made it to NC ...a beautiful but long drive. Carol amd I will start off tomorrow on the great AK adventure.

Oh, how very, very exciting!!! I hope you have the time and adventures of a lifetime!!! I think you're leaving behind a bunch of envious women who are wishing you nothing but success and fun. Travel safe, keep us informed when you can. We're looking forward to "OUR" journey to Alaska!!

Carol, Liz wouldn't like my keyboard either. I'm on my 3rd (or 4th) keyboard with this laptop and it's not that old lol - Sparkle can attest to the number of keys with no writing left on them. She wasn't thrilled with that either. But did better than she thought she would when she had to use it.

Looking forward to seeing you both soon.

I'm just checking in ... The painters/handymen have finished their work. My "out there" new colors inside are striking, my very nasty garage has been sanded, scraped and painted and all those other irritating items have been repaired. Life is good -- except my DSL is still down, and I have boxes to unpack. I'm in the parking lot of a closed i-cafe (which kindly kept its internet access on for late-comers).

I still need to weed lots of stuff out of my house. I have TOO MUCH STUFF!!! But I'll keep at it. By the end of this process, I'll have a comfortable living space.

And no, I haven't told my son yet that I'm not selling the house. Besides, who (other than me  ) would want an apple-green wall next to a plum staircase, and an applesauce yellow den? (They're gorgeous!)

YES YES YES!!! Pictures, puhleeze! Those colors sound as if they are right up my alley! I am contemplating re-doing this totally wood-paneled-walls house as soon as I get rid of some of my STUFF! It is so dark in here all the time with just wood. When we bought it, it was exactly what I wanted. I have already sponged a creamy color over the black-stained living room walls, as it was so dark in here you couldn't even see into the corners! (The sponge thing allows the grains to show through, still black.) But now I am thinking about a solid, bright color over the whole thing---like yellow, or something. Every wall in the house, downstairs, is wood, as is the trim and window frames, etc. I need to brighten up the kitchen, too, including the beautiful dark wood cabinets that I have so faithfully kept shiny and nice over the 30+ years I've lived here. Sigh----so much to do in so little time. I am thinking the reason I love my trailer so much is the lack of space to clutter up in there! It keeps my STUFF addiction to a minimum!
