I am hesitant to suggest this because you cannot make reservations at this campground near Tucson. It is first-come, first-served, but the entire campground is that way, so the trick is to get there first thing in the morning. But then again, everybody is in the same situation. I have been there twice and did not have a problem. I am planning on staying nearby at Piccachio Peak and driving in first thing-- like 9 am. Cost is $20 per night for electric hookups.
Beth, what do you think of this idea??? I am asking because you worked there. It is very close to Old Tucson and the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum. Lots of other things to do in Tucson.
Those coming: Beth, Lyn, and me, so far.
