MAY MONDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MAY MONDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL YOU CAMPERS!

It appears that things cooled off again last night, as it's now 32 out there. I am so hoping my baby lilacs will withstand another frost or more. It looks as there could be a lot more blossoms than I had originally thought there were hidden in those bud capsules.

My alarm clock, a self-setting atomic clock sort of thing, resets itself every night at midnight, and it's stuck on the next time zone west of me. That's what happened on Friday when it was really an hour later than I thought it was. Luckilly, I caught it last night before I went to bed, so set another alarm clock. The problem is, I have lost the instructions on how to get the darned thing into my correct time zone! It's telling me it's only 4:00 now, as it is in that time zone. Sigh....I've looked all over for the instructions. Maybe I can go online to find out what to do with it, as I really love that clock.

I have only a 4-day week ahead of me, and for that I am glad! AP exams begin on Wednesday, and I will be out of the library while they are being given. Hours of wasted time in the teachers' room while this is going on. So I've taken a personal day on Friday and Monday.

I hope the weather is being nice wherever you all are. It's not been nice in many parts of the country lately. Climate change is proving itself a reality, like it or not.

Echo, get yourself one of those bucket-top toilet seats that snap onto those huge buckets, and you will have your own little toilet right in your tent! Then just take it and dump it and clean it out later! I have three of those....one in the trailer, one in the leanto, and one extra down in the cellar in case of power outages when I don't have any water pump! They are really comfy to sit on, handy in the middle of the night, and save a lot of running! They cost about 15.00 from Cabella's or any good camping supply store. I once melted the edges of one of mine I had too close to the woodstove at the leanto, so now it has some sharp melted parts on the edges that sometimes hurt when I sit down on it! I wouldn't be without mine...I take one in my trailer at this time of year as I can't put water in there this early. At the KOA, I just take it to the bathroom in the morning, dump, and wash it out. Sure does beat not having it! I also use it out here in the trailer in my yard, too. I think they're called a 'Luggable Loo', or something like that.

Hazlenut Creme coffee here again, and it's GOOD! Pull up a chair and let us know what's going on in your world!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning Soos!

What a great day it is here, sun is shining brightly! My violets and trilliums are up and my ferns are doing their "fiddle head" thing,... but I let them grow, I don't cut them and cook them. Looks like my lawn will need mowing in a few days. Time to get the lawnmower out of the cellar and get some gas for it.

This is Junior Prom weekend coming up. The kids are decorating the old gym .. theme is Japanese. it's going to be beautiful. Lots of excitement.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Soos, interesting morning discussion to go along with coffee and cereal.  We are staying in an RV park in Navarre, FL since all the state parks are full and we, foolishly, didn't make reservations (forgot about how popular this area is before the summer weather sets in). Overcast and rainy today. DH is happy since he won't have to slather on as much sunscreen as usual-although I remind him that rays can penetrate. He gets quite a bit of squamous and basal cancers, so has to be careful. He is packing a lunch as we speak. We are watching the weather as we look toward driving thru AL, MS and onto LA.

Cedar, I use to love going to the proms at our high school, seeing the students dressed to the nines-what a different perspective.

Everyone have a great day. carold

Good-morning, Soos and Everyone!!
Jury duty is done, and now to get myself and everything I think I will need ready for when Liz, gets here next week-end. Its a known fact something, important will be left!! Also, tags, ins. inspections for both of my vehicles, throw in a dr. app. etc. , think I'll be glad when this week is over. Just hope I survive it !! Things keep popping up that need taking care of, of course.

Maggie and I, have had a really nice walk. Not raining here yet, supposed to later on. Have to go back to drugstore for rest of my prescription, he didn't have Friday. He also has the wrong amount of refills left for me, which could cause me problems, when I try to refill next time, out of state. I get 90 days at a time, most my ins. will allow.

Soos, I love reading your good mornings, they're always so interesting. You are our real pioneer on here. You do things and take for granted doing things most of us don't even think of. I've promised myself to make one of your summer GTG's, Sounds like so much fun, plus you have such a beautiful place there, would love to see it.

Well, its Monday, and I have to get the lead out here, and get things done, I have scheduled for today. Either people are still sleeping in, or they were running late and didn't have time to post. Couldn't believe it, when I found only your post Soos. Maybe someone has posted while I have been yakking here.

Have a great day everyone, and most of all Stay safe in whatever you do !!!

I see Cedar and CarolD posted, good-morning to you ladies

I always thought there were plastic liners you used with those bucket toilets. Then you just dispose of the bag and no yucky clean-up.

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Sooos you had better believe I have a bucket in my tent!!!! Not a fancy one but a plain one and use just regular waste papercan liners. The restrooms here aren't tooooo far away but in the middle of the night? nekkid? my old fat azz is not gonna handle getting dressed and running to the potty!!!!

 Now that the potty discussion is out of the way!

How is everyone today? Hmmm??? I see that Carolinagal is getting her ducks in a row, plucking a few, stretching a couple and stacking the rest to go on her big trip to Alaska with Liz and Beth. Oh Lordy I so wish I was going too!!! That is one place on my bucket list!!! The other two places are the Redwoods and a dude ranch somewhere! I want to work at a dude ranch for one season. Not afraid to clean stables, I can pitch "chit" with the best of them. LOL But I want to wrangle tenderfoots (snicker) and go on over night camp out rides. Tho it's been years since I owned my own horse or have ridden? Bet my azz with let me know about it for sure!!! Maybe I better go on little ones first? They might have to use a crane to get me on and off after a day long ride!!!

Only got cereal this morning, never did go get any more eggs. Hmmmm right about now some french toast sounds awful good. Yum

Ok ya'll. Hope ya have a super day. Not to hot, not to cold, just one of those "just right kind" of days. Remember to stay safe in all that you do!!!

Love to all
