It's early morning in my home town and I sit with a smile and not a frown.
It's been a very busy day with much more work and little play.
I set the table before I go to sleep, and soon from me there will not be a peep.
For those who drop in to eat a bite, I won't be around but will leave on a light!

What a neat little poem to wake up to, Lotus!!! You must be a late-night poet! A great surprise to come in here and find! Hoep you are sound asleep by now!

It's rainy, windy, but 52 degrees outside! Molly and I stayed in the trailer last night, and didn't even need heat. It was nice to hear the rain pelting the roof off and on all night. Supposed to get up to about 73 today, but the wind will prevail from the south. Spring rains are always welcome until our grass begins to grow and cover up the winter's dry brushy stuff. I read that Cedar's area had a wild fire burning down in her valley somewhere yesterday. I hope this rain will extinguish that.

Coffee tastes good this morning----hazlenut creme----to add to Lotus's table setting. And it's jeans day again for us! YIPPEE!!! I will take a bath and get into comfy clothes. I have scheduled me two personal days for next Friday and Monday, as the library will be shut down due to AP exams, and no reason for me to be there. I was going to try to schedule me a weekend at our local state campground, but they won't be open yet! WAH! Oh well....camping at the pond in the leanto, if the weather is good, will be just as fine, or better. And if the temperatures turn too cold for that, I can camp right here in the yard in my trailer!

Jobs for me this summer will be to paint the outside of this house....trim and all. I need to get me a safe ladder to reach the upper parts. I'd like to get one of those that makes into a walkway (brain too asleep to think of what those are called at this hour) so I can walk back and forth as I paint. I have the main brown color, but will need to have them mix a shade of orange for the trim.

THE EARLY BIRD

Still dark, and raining hard on a cold May morning
and yet the early bird is out there chirping,
chirping its sweet-sour wooden-pulley notes,
pleased, it would seem, to be given work, hauling
the heavy bucket of dawn up from the darkness,
note over note, and letting us drink.

good morning ladies, well I'm going in late to work, have to drop off my little Gracie
to get spayed. She wants her breakfast, ain't gonna happen, she's bugging me
so much I had to put her in her kennel, but at least that way the others could eat.
Will be so glad to finally have this done!
Several schools closed in Phoenix due to confirmations of the flu, not worried about
it, if anyone gets confirmed in Scottsdale district I'll get a paid week off,

Mornin sistahs! *Yawn* Oh, that made my eyes water, hehe. Boy, will mom be surprised I've gotten the first cup of coffee! I've brought some yummy coffee cake and some powdered donuts. They were out of plain, hurrumph. Watch out for the coffee cake, it's delicious but crumbles easily.

My desktop temp thingy says it's 55, I can already feel the sun on my back. I think I hear an Echo stirring?... suppose I'll be a nice daughter and pour her some coffee too.

I am looking forward to getting to the lodge but not the packing up of everything. I'm also looking forward to seeing lots more trees!!! I will see about putting up some pics of our camp today. I already have some of the trip here in my photobucket here. They're not the greatest as I'm still figuring out my camera. Most were taken from the car. They're also a bit big which I will fix later on...

Mom seems to still be asleep and I'm about ready for another cup. We got a screen house last nite and today we're going to hang tarps in it to block the wind and sun. I heard on the radio it's supposed to rain tomorrow... We haven't seen any this entire trip which is good because there are holes in the tarp on the trailer because of the wind and friction from the tie downs and bungee cords.

Well, this concludes my first coffee post. How'd I do?? LOL!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Oh yeah I'm awake
But for me the mornings late

Set the timer and now smell that caffeine brew
Went potty so sups of coffee I'll have a few

Daughter is up, (shock) eyes wide open
Because to sleep late she was hoping

Our new screen room we like so fine
In the shade we now sit and can dine

To block the sun a tarp is hung on one side
Now we can sit in comfort our backs and brains not fried

Powell Lake use is $15 wont pay that and waste the buck
But no need to cry, campground has a pool so we're in luck

That's all for now have breakfast to fix
We are two hungry camping chix

Yum yum!! Eggs and bacon!!!!!
