I haven't had any trouble getting the motion sensor light I installed to work. You do need to follow the directions. It worked out well for me. The first one arrived broken. They not only credited me for that one but also sent another that works just fine. So the price was a perfect $0.

I got a couple of dvds at the library from RV Education 101 by Mark Polk. One is "RV Orientation". I watched it last night and learned a lot. They explain things very simply so even I can understand it! They have a website and offer other DVDs of different things to know about RVs. I also have their book "The RV Book" which is a good reference for all things RV.

Thanks Lyn for the blog info. That was interesting! For doing a lot of downsizing, she still has way more stuff than I would ever have! I plan to have paper plates, two plastic plate holders, plasticware, a few mugs, paper cups, a few kitchen utensils, a small fry pan and a small and medium pan and of course, my cookie sheet! That is about it for the kitchen. Oh, and my mini bullet and toaster. I will have to read more of her blog tho.

Melissa, I will go and read that link on electrical stuff too. I need to read more about that to understand it all better.

I haven't read her blog but sorta think she is a full timer...when you full time you do carry more than those that use the trailer
on occasion...also a lot depends upon a person's likes..if you like to cook you will have more of the must haves so that it will
look like to others that don't do a lot of cooking that you have a lot of stuff which of course is right one has a lot of stuff to
take care of those needs ....Barbie has been in my rig she knows I have a lot of stuff but I full time...makes a difference

True. I was referring to her sets of dish place settings for 6 and her many different types of glassware of 6 each (she did downsize from 12 each ).

I have a few plastic glasses and some charming red Solo cups. But then the group I run with can be counted on to bring their own cups if the need should arise.

I bought a whole new set of Corelle dishes, and I think I have used them once in 5 years. Paper bowls and plates are much easier!

I also have packed away very nicely 4 stemmed wine glassed, 4 stemmed champagne glasses, and 4 stemmed cordial glasses. I think I have used a couple of the wine glasses twice!

How long of a non-potable water hose do I need to rinse the sewer hose after dumping (assuming there isn't one already there)? Would I need one for any other reason?

My scissor jacks are not attached to the trailer. How difficult would it be to get them attached and where would I go to get that done? I would think it would be much easier to use them if they were attached to the frame underneath.

It's been years since I carried a hose to rinse my sewer hose.

If there isn't a rinse hose, you can just pull the end of the sewer hose that was attached to your trailer and stick it under the faucet. Then pull the other end out of the sewer itself and rinse it as well. I just did that today.
