Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning. How is everybody today? Hopefully the rains are moving off to the east and away from the flooded areas and won't cause issue for those of you in the east.

Another nice day expected here, so will be finishing up the mods on my trailer and getting the stuff into the front storage area. Pretty much done inside for now. Mounted my sewer hose carrier on the bumper yesterday, so that's done. Need to set rgese projects aside and do some yard work and window washing.

Peggy, hope you find somebody to go on the cruise with. Wonder where Carolb is. Haven't heard from her in awhile. CArol, how's the cleaning and purging coming? Pat, what's the latest on new baby?

Time to quit jabbering about nothing here and move along. Chiropractor appt. and few errands this morming, so going to wish you all a nice day and be off.

Gmorning Sue & all to follow:)

Sue, thanks for thinking of me! I've just not been very good about communicating lately--I'm really "off," having not done my usual winter trip this year:( I haven't even kept up with reading--now finding myself lost as to what everyone is doing. So please excuse me if I say anything that makes y'all say "duh"!! But must definitely send good thoughts to Martha--hope Harold is recovering well.

Then congrats to those with new rigs! Hope y'all have many years of happy & safe adventures.

To all in the flooded areas--everyone safe, I hope? I hear it's mostly in Missouri, don't know who's there. My bro is, but still a hundred miles from St Louis, & he's ok. BJ, the Mississippi River causing havoc in So.IL ? All that rain is here now, but we don't have those kind of major rivers that would flood.

So I'm spending a lot of time in the house. Have had a few days to get out into the garden--our early veggies are doing well so far. Bulbs & other perennials seem to have survived the winter. Grass is lush from all the snow this winter....

Wishing y'all a great day, safe travels, & good health always! 8-)

Good morning
got the levelers serviced yesterday, they are working correctly,
and fluid is good. The sensors are bad though and need to be
replaced, they will have to be ordered. Even though the alarm
goes off occasionally they are still fine.
Went to Kohls the other day, was looking for Bermuda shorts.
Found exactly what I needed in the brand I knew fits me properly.
They were on sale and it happened to be senior day so got another
discount
I was thinking about Carolb too, glad she popped in.
Getting busy planning a short near home trip up into
the pines to escape the heat as I wait for test results
to come back from the doctor. Will get some home chores
done over the weekend before I go.
Y'all have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning! It’s baby day! Ashley and Ryan had to be at the hospital at 6:30. Ashley just texted a few minutes ago that the dr. broke her water. I hope she has a fast delivery, because she was in labor over 24 hours with Bronc….she deserves a break this time. (Says the woman who has two children and a total of 5.5 hours of labor!) I’m going to be jumping out of my skin every time the phone rings.

I worked at the bar three days this week and I am one aching unit. Not used to being on my feet that much. I’m off until Monday at 4:00. I never planned to work this much! But Jim and Pam bought a different building and they are doing most of the renovations on it themselves. It’s less expensive to hire me to bartend than to hire someone remodel the new building. It’s going to be very nice when it’s done. They plan to be ready for the move by June 1 so I think I’ll be working quite a bit until then. I informed them yesterday that we’re camping for five days over Memorial Day…they had a deer in the headlights look. I made a couple suggestions for some of the non-certified school personnel who might be interested in getting some hours and extra cash during the summer.

Colleen is home from the hospital and the good news is that she has no dietary restrictions. Just has to eat small amounts numerous times a day. So that will make preparing take-in meals easier. The bad news is that now she has a blood clot in her leg. And they found cancer in one of the 40+ lymph nodes that had been taken during the surgery.

Well I have a house that need some attention and I need to get to the grocery store plus my sister is going to be here in a couple of hours. She was hoping the baby would be born on her birthday tomorrow. I’d better get crackin’. I think the ibuprofen (and coffee) is starting to kick enough to motivate me.

Have a good day everyone. I’ll be back with baby pictures sometime! Yes…I’m excited.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

It was so cold walking the dogs at 530 AM I dressed in my winter gear and hoped no one else was up. Sun is out though now for the first time in days and it isn't raining!! Pat we will be waiting anxiously on pictures and Broncs reactions. I hope the delivery goes well and isn't as long as the last one.
Good to hear from you Carolb, there is a lot of flooding along big Muddy. it's supposed to crest at record highs and the bridge over old 13 that goes by Born's old home is almost over the road. Not sure if they closed it yesterday or not. People on Carbon Lake are having to use boats or kayaks to get out! Did you see the pictures of my new RV?
It's warmed up enough to go back to organizing my stuff in it so need to get busy.
Hope you all enjoy the day.

Been missing for a couple of days. Good week in that I had a great lunch with old friends and got my teeth cleaned. Bad is that I still have an odor behind the cabinet in my bathroom and next to my bed. I am positive it is due to a poor toilet installation because I have eliminated everything else, but of course, all dealers are booked for three weeks! :x

Also, thermostat has been acting funny for months, but I have a new one, just being a coward to install it. So last night, of course, it was not working and electric heater had trouble keeping place warm. So it is working today, but son has promised to install tomorrow. And, got call yesterday that Carlyle Lake COE campgrounds are flooded so my 5-day reservation for next week has been cancelled, so need to make new plans. Carlyle is in Southern Illinois, where it is flooding.

Oh, and big one was that left slide refused to go in yesterday as I was leaving campground in Michigan overlooking Lake Erie. (First slide problem in five years.) Temp was 45, winds were 20+, and it was raining!!! Called CoachNet to get some ideas on fix, but after an hour, tried for 5th time and it worked. Drove to Ohio also in cold rain and managed to get set up. And, of course, dealers are backed up for 3 weeks! Factory guy told me it was probably a bad switch but few dealers carry these so would need to be ordered anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, all those planning on full-timing, learn to be flexible, fix stuff yourself, and set up a big budget for repairs. And I bought new in 2012 so this is a relatively new unit. Guess that is why this is called an ADVENTURE.

Anyway, waiting for weekend special rental car ($32 for three days), and grandson is coming to spend the night. He is 10. Tomorrow night will be almost-8 year old sister. Then west to Grand Canyon, except not staying at Carlyle Lake, obviously.

We are having a beautiful day. There are places that flooded from all the rain and ditches and rivers full. No problem down here except for probably some of the farmers. There will be a lot of water coming from up North so we probably don't know the extent of the flooding.

I am done with the cruses across the Gulf but Peggy the cruse you are taking sounds nice. I doubt I will be going anywhere for a while.

Harold made it to rehab yesterday. We couldn't spend the night so I am anxious to see how his night went. They said they check on the patients all the time. I was there from 4 to 7 and the only persons I saw were the meal delivery and tray pickup persons. If I hadn't been there I don't think he would have had supper. I wanted to be there when the doctor made rounds but he never came unless it was after I left. It's an hour for me to get home and I don't like to drive at night.

We finally got to pick up the van that has been in the shop for 2 weeks because we didn't have time to go get it. My car was past due for service so I got it in and we have to go get it. Just too many things to do.

Still feeling lazy. Did a few things around here yesterday so my room looks better. Was a beautiful day so I sat out on my swing a few times during the day eating ice cream :D . Last night my window was open a little and I could hear the frogs, crickets and coyotes. Pretty cool! :P

Back to work later today and then off for the weekend. No plans yet, but found out there is a new Camping World that just opened recently not too far from where I am, so may check that out along with a WM run.

Another nice day today. Need to enjoy some of it before going to work. Maybe take a walk down the road to visit the horses down there.

Hope you all have a good, safe and fun day! :D

Martha, you need to rant and rave at that nursing home and put up a really big stink!!! And call the administration and/or nursing supervisor today. If you do not, Harold will not get the care he needs.

I had some horrible experiences with my mother, and if ever there was a time to really turn into a nasty person, this is it!!

Judy, I agree wholeheartedly. I always try "nice" first, but sometimes nice just doesn't cut it.

I totally agree with Judy. I'm sure one reason I was happy with the nursing home my mother spent close to 4 years at is because for the first year I was there so much. And I had no problem disturbing everyone there if I felt anything needed being done.

My father was only in the nursing home about 7 months before he passed. My brother and/or I were there most everyday....as was Herschel. My mother in law had been there for a couple months before she passed right around the time my father entered. After my dad passed Herschel and Remi had I continued visiting usually twice a week. I saw a lot of interactions between the staff and the residents in the next 5 years. There may have been mistakes, I wouldn't know about, but what I did notice is the over all quality of respect for and care for residents. I saw no difference between those that were there under private insurance and those under Medicare. Over time there was even a chance to connect with other family members of residents. There was a stability of staff and it seemed to make a difference. Over the years between my MIL, Step mother and Dad, I have the opportunity to visit more nursing homes than I would have liked. I never experienced that same feeling in any of the others. Sadly...

Harold was in the hospital's rehab which is on the top floor of the same hospital. I got a call about noon that they wanted to send him for another scan of the artery in his neck. He had blockage but they had elected to treat it with pills. We tried to tell them when they were transferring him to rehab that something wasn't right. He had been sleeping for over 24 hours and was going to sleep eating or talking. And not complaining, which is not Harold. When I get there the surgeon comes to talk to me and wants to do surgery. He thinks things are just going to keep flaking off. It is a high risk surgery because of his age and condition. They can't tell us what time the surgery will be and it was at 8:30 last night. At 10:30 the surgeon comes to talk to us and tells us he came through it good. He was going to be in recovery for 5 hours and that we might as well go home.

Before surgery Harold was back to talking and joking with us as usual. I finally got our younger son to come to the hospital. I told him that if it was my dad I would get my butt over there.

I am heading out for town now to see what is going on today.

Glad to hear the surgery went well. It is always risky as we get older, we just dont bounce back quite as quickly as we used to....dang it. I am pleased they decided to do the surgery. Now you wont have that worry about another stroke. (can still happen but the odds now are way lower).

Hoping for a speedy recovery and be sure and take care of YOU also. If you think he was a pain sometimes before....just wait LOL But at least he will be able to be a pain.

(((((Hugs)))))
