TUESDAY AND ALL IS WELL

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TUESDAY AND ALL IS WELL

GOOD MORNING, ALL!!

It was a beautiful night at the pond last night, and it's still a balmy 53 this morning!! I took some digital videos of the peepers and the other birds singing their goodnight songs, but haven't had the time to edit them and combine them into a clip I want to post. There were three deer that came down to other side for drinks, and I missed them as I was walking and didn't have my camera! I also saw the beaver getting prepared to haul some more tender shoots from across the pond into the brook leading to his new lodge and pond below me. And there was an otter, cruising along and diving for fish. Many ducks flew in, and I think I may have caught a couple of them coming in for a landing for the night. The peepers were very vocal down in the brook/marshy area, although the ones at the pond were still half asleep and quiet. After all, it hasn't been that long since the ice has been out of there. All in all, it was a wonderful night. Yesterday was about as hot as it gets here all summer....about 90+ in the sun! But we had a great, strong breeze, which made it very tolerable.

My son called me to brag about his first day of work, and said he LOVES the people there! He gets so many benefits with this job, from health, dental insurance, free passes to Disney allowing up to 3 guests at a time to enter the park for free, free passes to Sea World, uniforms, personal days off, vacations earned, and on and on he went. I am so happy for him!

The coffee is hot now, so pull up a chair and let us know what's going on in your life. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good morning Soos, and all our sisters!

It's a lovely morning here, a bit overcast but quite warm. Must be at least 60°. Your evening at the pond sounds wonderful. The pond is lovely anyhow and with peepers it would be absolutely heaven. So good to hear that Goog is happy at his new job,.. do say hello to him and Melissa for me and congratulate them on their employment good fortune!

I've had b'fast and got my lunch packed, but it's still nearly time to get dressed for work and head out the door.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

So happy for your son, Soos...looks like he and Melissa have a bright start to their careers and life together.

I'd love to have been there at the pond with you....(you wouldn't have needed to worry about entertaining me)... the entertainment was provided by the wildlife. I'm looking forward to your pics and video. Otters are a lot of fun to watch. Sometimes I obsess too much about getting photos of everything, and in so doing, I "miss the moment." I'm slowly teaching myself to enjoy seeing it unfold without fiddling with my camera all the time. I do still carry my camera in a case on my belt to keep it handy...haven't got past that yet.

One more dr. visit (fasting bloodwork) over with this morning, as I tick off the list of things I gotta do before leaving for AK. It's cool outside this morning, so think I may tackle some more trimming in the back yard before it gets hot. This humidity gets to me quickly though and makes it hard to breathe; one of the reasons I've decided to become a "snowbird," traveling to cooler climes in the summer.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning, ladies!

So far, sounds like everyone's having a great day. Add me to the list. Well, not great yet, but it will be, as soon as I wake fully up. Lately, when George comes to bed (around 2:00AM!), Abby thinks he's a stranger and lets off with a couple of her high-pitched barks. It's enough to wake the dead. Instead, it just wakes me, and if you're familiar with Menopause Hell, well, that's it for sleeping for the night! Grrrrr...

Liz, I completely relate to taking pictures. That was how I was...always taking pictures and never getting to feel and experience the beauty we were seeing. I FINALLY learned and it is much more fun without fumbling around with still and video cameras.

All we had around the yard this morning were the gorgeous finches...

Good morning.......thought I'd do the rare pop in in the morning to say hello and then jump in the shower before I have to head to the foot doctor today. One more injection of Alcohol into my left foot to deaden the nerves from the Neuroma I have. Could not explain why I had constant pain in my feet till our friend came to visit us and Frank told me about his feet and I FINALLY figured out I must have what he had and sure enough I did. Only my doctor won't use cortizone shots, says the alcohol shots relieve the pain better. I know it sounds like I'm geting my feet drunk LOL. It does numb it but it is suppose to quiet down the nerve that is enlarged.

I've been busy packing up stuff back into the motorhome ( food) and then load up the casita with stuff that cannot be left in the shed because of the hot heat and lock everything up and off we go on Friday!
First stop Bullhead City AZ with a side trip to Oatman to go see the Burro's....I've been warned to not stand behind them and watch out they ARE wild and can bite & kick. Then we mosey over to Vegas for at least a week before starting our trek back home to WA to go visit family and friends till the end of Sept. We'll be going back down the coast and go crabbing again at Winchester Bay near Reedsport again. We have pretty much eaten up all the crab we caught last year.

You gals have a great day, our weather has cooled abit which is nice in the 70's and not over 100. At least it is dry heat I can relate to Liz I cannot breathe in humid weather. The joy of full-timing...dodging weather you do not like or people who drive you nuts!

Gooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

We are in Page AZ, woohooooo! It's cool here, I'm sitting at the picnic table with my sweatshirt on and still have more than a few goosebumps. I'm tempted to go get a jacket. It's gray and overcast this morn with a breeze, but I checked out the weather for here and it didn't say anything about rain? But then again I don't put a whole lot of trust into the weather man! ;)

Can't add any goodies to the table this morning all I have is my thermos of coffee for right now. I am so glad Kelly got it filled for me or I would be in horrible shape. Probably tempted to tear someones head off.

Ok, gonna go do some reading and try to catch up since yesterday. No way am I gonna try to go back and read every thing I've missed since we left out last week. Good grief would probably take me 3 or 4 days the way ya'll are.

Hope everyone has a super day and remembers to stay safe.

Love to all

OH!! OH!!! Soos, the TUESDAY in the subject line reminded me that it's trash
day ... and sent me scrambling to get my cans out. So thank you.

I've got my coffee here, and I treated myself to cinnamon-sugar toast. Mmmmm.

It's windy here this morning and the sun is in and out. We may have rain
in the afternoon.

What is that, Jenny?

I make my cinnnamon sugar from scratch,... just fill my shaker with sugar and add cinnamon to taste,... I have a neat old cut glass shaker with a silver top that goes back several generations. I decided to use it rather than stash it in the back of the cupboard,.. same with some antique wine glasses. Why not get the enjoyment from them rather than keep moving them packed away in a box?

I got Sweet Treat in Abbeville Louisiana at the Louisiana gals rally. It's just Cajun Cinnamon sugar with pure Vanilla in it. Got it along side a can of Slap Ya Mama. Slap ya Mama is a cajun seasoning too and one day my Sister and I were in town in Prairieville just outside Baton Rouge and I yelled across the Wal-Mart store " Dang Jeanette I forgot Slap ya Mama!" Some guy was walking by and heard it and gave me a dirty look and I said it was a spice! Well the guy looked at me like sure lady you liar! So I ran down the aisle grabbed the spice, ran up to the guy and said " I told you it was a spice!" Showed him the can and the guy started shaking his head and laughing...he had never heard of it before!! It was soooo funny!!!!
