MONDAY IS BACK!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY IS BACK!

Postby Nasoosie » Mon Apr 27, 2009 4:08 am

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

It might be beautiful out where you are, but it's overcast and downright chilly here again! Our nice summery Saturday is a thing of the past! It's 42 degrees----above freezing, and I should be happy about that!

Today is my son's first day at a salaried job in the field he went to school for---he's an aquatic entomologist/fisheries biologist. I talked to him last night, and he's really up for this!

I hope that Swine flu keeps at bay from most of us in this country. We don't need a pandemic at this point in our lives.

And I am praying that the midwest's scary tornadic weather will abate today and allow those poor people to come out of their storm cellars and get a good night's sleep.

Coffee is back to Hazlenut Creme today, and I have a small wood fire going to take the chill off in here. When I went out in the yard last night, I heard those little spring peepers at the pond, at last! Of course, they had to wait for me to get back up here to begin their beautiful seranade! They should be out in force by next weekend, if the mild weather can hold out until then. I think the rain we had yesterday helped them decide to get up for the year!

Happy Monday---off I go to see what lays in store at school today.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I'm up early today or it was early when I started. No projects to return to until Wed so I have two more days to get some reading in and supervise the puppies. They got to go out on the deck for a while yesterday afternoon and seemed to enjoy the world. I need to wait until the sun warm up a bit more and I will let them frolic again. Stuart dog and Remi don't know what to think....I can hardly wait until the pups get to play out in the grass with them. Grass is softer it you get rolled. :) The birds are cheerful this morning and if I were Birdie I would know which ones I was listening too. The morning doves I know but the rest are just part of the glorious chorus of spring. I got an response back from my son regarding my kayaking pictures...he wanted to know from his sister if she had warned me about the rapids in the river for this summers camping trip she organized. I think that was a challenge if ever I heard one. Personally I think his (younger) sister is waiting to see what he will do in the water. I'm up for some dog grooming today. Need to get some of the fuzz off. Enjoy the day. I'm am waiting to here from the adventureers out there regarding their next finds......

Good morning!

I'm already at school and I now have 7 students here with me in the highschool computer lab.

Big topic this morning here is the need to postpone our graduation two days until the following Monday,... three students placed high in the NY state FBLA(Future Business Leaders of America) competition in Rochester NY. Two second places and a first place in various categories. That excellent showing now sends them to national competition in California but will conflict with our graduation date. Hence the need to change grad.

For a small school,... K-12 in one 75 y/o building I am always proud of the quality here. You all know our sports teams place high, (I'm sure I bored you all with my enthusiasm about our basketball teams) our art students exhibit at the state capitol in Albany, our student writers are published, every member of the senior class is graduating and all but one going on to college. That one is going into business with his grandfather on the family farm. Not a lazy bone there. So many think you need to consolidate into larger districts to get a quality education,.. not so,..for sure!

Well, time for me to get busy doing what i'm supposed to do! Have a great day everyone!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

It's a quickie good morning too. We are almost packed up to get out of here. After we get packed we will take showers then hook up the trailer and have at it out on the highway. Have no idea what so ever where we are gonna land tonight??? I had really hoped to get as close to the lodge we will be working at before we set up camp??? Guess I really a dummy there. The campground in Jacobs Lake AZ doesn't open until May 15. And we didn't get much of anywhere looking online for campgrounds. I really need one open NOW thank you very much. ~sigh~ Kelly will have to be looking online today to see if she can find us one.

Santa Fe is beautiful. All we really got to see is the downtown area. We have both fallen in love with the architecture here. It's all done up in stucco to resemble adobe. City Hall, the Churches, the shops, the stores and most of the houses too. Kelly got some pictures but she is going to have to resize them before posting any of them. I really like her camera it's a Nikon Coolpix L18, nothing fancy but does a great job for her. She has a pretty good eye too for scenery too.

Ok it's shower time. Wash off the stink!!! Wish us luck on finding a campground close to where we have to be. LOL

Hope ya'll have a great day and be sure to stay safe!

Love to all

Echo, I don't know when you are supposed to start working, but why the hurry to get out there? Why don'tca meander a bit along the way? I'm sure you have good reasons and i hope Kelly finds a good place for you all to pitch your tent for a while.

We're about 16 miles from the AZ border. Still not sure where we're gonna land. We're kinda limited on where we can go and where we stay. Trying to watch our money and it's too warm to leave Shade in the car. Will figure out lodging sooner or later.
