Kudos to Columbia Sportswear! FYI

Last Saturday my sister and I went to the thrift shop in a neighboring town. I found a like new Columbia down filled jacket for Bronc that would fit him next winter. Just before I paid for it I told the lady I’d better check the zipper. Sure enough it the tape was coming apart from the bottom stop. So I told her I didn’t want it. One of my former students was in the shop and jokingly said “Mrs. C. you could replace that!” I knew I could, but really didn’t want to because I just plain didn’t want to mess with it. Any how the clerk told me to just take the jacket because they couldn’t sell it with a broken zipper. I came home and went online to the Columbia website with the intent to email them and ask them if it was possible to buy a replacement zipper, because it was an odd length. Lo and behold…they replace them for nothing! All I have to do is pay for the shipping to them and they will replace the zipper and return it at their expense! Sweet.

And it sure seems like a long time since we have seen that cute little cowboy or heard any stories. I still think of the picture of him riding his pony in that bar and smile!

I can second this! They replaced a really old rain jacket and pants I had when the water repellant stuff started flaking off. It was more than 10 years old. I couldn't believe it. I had called them to see if there was a fix for the flaking and he said yup, we are sending a new one! That is over the top customer service.
