February 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

4pm and all is well here in Ocala, FL. Arrived here Nov13 and am expecting to stay until mid April. Keeping busy with Fitness center 3x/week, kayaking, hiking, dog walking and working on crocheting Mermaid Blankets for the granddaughters. I am definitely busier here than I was in Maryland. Tomorrow is boat tour with Captain Mike on the Withlacoochee River just out of Dunellon. Anyone in the are is welcome to stop by. I am at Wandering Oaks RV Resort just 2 doors down from Irmi and Steve. That's all my news for now.

Yes, been very awol at posting Keep up with reading every few days. Barbie, maybe not the place to do this, but I'm very sorry about your dad. My thoughts are with you & your family through the services & beyond.

I thought about rabbits before midnight thought well I will just say it before I go to bed....nope forgot it
till this evening
came home from an unexpected day trip expecting Sharon to be gone...but she was there...how cool
so got to say goodbye without it being on the telephone
have so enjoyed having all who came I just wish it had been with the weather we have had the past couple of days
not having to heat all day long is good not wearing a jacket all day is good
things are doing well and will be better when my license tags come...SD does the whole state in Jan now if I would just
think about it prior to the last week it would be better

Sheila, where did you see/hear that about SD renewals? Mine is in January because that's the month for names starting with letters A or B... And there website doesn't show that having changed? Just curious.

I did mine online and they were mailed within two days. Of course, then I had to have my mail forwarded.

Very late getting on here...another busy day!

Got up early and dropped my brother off at work so I could use his truck for the day. Then I stopped at my dad's house to look for photos to use at the funeral. Ended up cleaning up stinky messes in the kitchen, tried to flush the nasty toilet but it seems to be clogged and is really stinking up the house. Then discovered about 15 garbage bags full of used adult diapers in the bedroom closets! No wonder the house smelled so bad! Got those outside as fast as possible! Then grabbed the two boxes of photos and got out of there. I may have bitten off more than I can chew! I got my work cut out for me for sure!

Got ahold of a few more people to notify about my dad and the funeral. Got my dad's phone shut off so that puts an end to the scammers calling. Need to wait for the death certs before we can close down the credit cards. Stopped at my older brother's house (the one who was in Arizona last week) and chatted with him and his wife. The brother I am staying with, his wife, Maryann, is very hard to deal with. She is very opinionated and critical of everything I say. She was complaining yesterday that she would have to invite people over after the funeral and was really hoping my other SIL would offer to do it but didn't want to ask. So I thought I would help her out and just casually asked my other SIL if she had thought about inviting people to their house. She said she was willing to do that. So I figured I did a good thing, and let Maryann know that Julie was going to do it. She got mad at me! She said she wanted to have it here and was really upset that she couldn't do it now. My brother and I looked at each other like "what the heck?". I can't win for losing with her.

Have been going thru lots of photos tonight, and tomorrow will get the poster board put together. Tomorrow morning I am going to my girlfriend's dad's funeral, (she is also my dad's next door neighbor).

Still need to check flights back to Phoenix this weekend and see what I can find that is affordable. Don't think I will get nearly as lucky as last week with an $80 flight.

hmmm now that you ask I don't know perhaps I misunderstood...but we are in the same month
they have been sent and check cashed hopefully they will be at the post office on Sat..
