SUMMERY SATURDAY!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUMMERY SATURDAY!!

Postby Nasoosie » Sat Apr 25, 2009 7:57 am

GOOD MORNING, ALL YOU OTHER SLEEPY-HEADS!!

I am up from the pond to check on Twitch, my ancient cat, and grab me a stove to heat up my coffee water on! I had totally forgotten I had 'borrowed' my stove from down there to use up here this winter. It's already 57 degrees out there! We had a thundershower in the night, which brought this summer-like weather, and now it's very humid....I totally LOVE it!

Soon after I got settled in for the night, and was eating my pre-roasted chicken (hence I didn't miss my stove yet!) I managed to get a few digital videos of the retarded goose couple who builds a nest EVERY year on the abaondoned beaver lodge across the pond from the leanto. And EVERY year, they lose their goslings to eagles and ospreys. I am so hoping Molly and I convinced them to go to the new beaver pond behind us where there are still tons of tall trees to keep them safer from grabbing talons. In the middle of the photo-shoot, a curious beaver swam by, slammed his tail and caused a ruckus! I caught him on the video, too! I will post those videos on photobucket and put a link to them somewhere in here when I get back after the weekend.

Back I go to the pond now, as it's absolutely perfect weather for camping. This will be a weekend of NOT doing work around here----just sitting, walking, photo shooting, and writing in my diary I keep down there. Crossword puzzles are on the agenda, too! Catch you all later-----sorry I was absent in chat, but the evening was just too beautiful to leave the pond.

After resetting this router and restarting my computer, at least I am now able to get onto all my websites once again. Power outage I guess raised havoc with this network.

Happy Saturday to you all!

Good-morning Soos, and everyone else, who is either out enjoying the day already or sleeping in. Maggie and I, have had a great walk, its absolutely beautiful outside. Wish I could be outside today, but I have loads to do in here. I have been on a jury all week and to return Monday and time is slippy by, and the Alaska trip is getting closer, so much to do. I will be leaving a lot of things undone.

I will never catch up on here, with all the news. I am totally exhausted when I get home at night., setting all day is not my cup of tea and it wears me out!!!

Have a great day everyone. I will be outside to mow, later today, am looking forward to that. I need some sun. Gotta go get the washer going and clean kitchen and all of that good junk.

Safe travels and God Bless

good morning
Soos you sound like you are truly in a happy place, can't wait for some pictures.
I don't have much planned for myself today, normal housework and yardwork, but
the weather will be nice so definately doing more yardwork than housework. We've
already had our triple digit heat, it was just a reminder but a good reminder to get
the outside stuff done now before those triple digits stay.
Enjoy your day ladies

Oh, I am so looking forward to your videos Soos. Sounds like we'll be right there enjoying the "ruckus" with you.

Carol, are you actually sitting on a jury, or just waiting around to see if you're needed for one? At least being on one in a trial would be more interesting than just waiting.

Enjoy your springlike weather this weekend, Cedar.

Yesterday was the first day I really enjoyed my solar heated pool. Plan to do it again today after I do a little more weeding through stuff in prep for the AK trip. Got the RV road dust all washed off yesterday. Water beaded up nicely, so decided it doesn't need another coat of wax yet. I've put two coats of good quality marine-type wax on it since I bought it.

And a great day to you all on the forum, whereever you are!

Soos, your place sounds wonderful. Looking forward to videos, etc.
I've got a few chores to tackle today but plan to throw a little fun and sunshine in with it.
Hope all have a great weekend.

So glad to hear the warm air has arrived in the East! We really enjoyed it here and then were shocked when the temps dropped 30+ degress in one day. But I didn't build a fire, just wore a coat around the house!

My computer is back, hopefully ATT and Vista are speaking to each other again. I would love to catch up my blog, I miss doing it when I am without reliable net connection.

Busy week-end planned, hiking this morning with a friend at the west end of a near by lake and picnic this evening at the east end of the same lake with a different friend! This is will a first! Tomorrow I am cooking family dinner....prime rib for my Dad and Brother as a thank-you for re-routing my fence last winter. Also roasted potatoes with rosemary and garlic, sauteed zuc and yellow squas, and finally Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

Soos, there aren't many beaver left in the Sierra. When we were kids though there was a "family" in a local creek where we played, fished,
picked black berries. Their dams are fascinating.

OK, now hoping this will post and wishing you all a fun week-end! Byeeee
