Going to be a busy Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Going to be a busy Tuesday

Good morning all - where is everyone? I'm on west coast time and I slept in. We have a fresh pot of coffee ready and some Mexican pastries. They are easy to find here in Vegas and very good.
Today is the day Bill is going to start putting my new sewing machine cabinet together - it came in four boxes and has a zillion pieces. My old cabinet got broke by the movers. Luckily the sewing machine was not in it. I am going to stay quiet in another room unless he asks me for help. For the price of the cabinet it should have come with a young good looking guy to put it together. This is the last major thing to be done for the house. Thank goodness. Yesterday we took the day off - went visiting and out to long lunch.
We are talking about going to Mexico again but not till after the first of the year.
I see a lot of you are getting to hit the road. Enjoy and stay dry, warm and safe.

I'm up but not happy about it. One of my husband's friends called at 6am and woke me up. I finally went back to sleep and said husband called. I'm trying to decide whether to take some aspirin for my headache or wait and see if the coffee will help.

I'm the one that usually has to put things together if I want it to come out in one piece. Just hope that all the pieces are there.

Does anyone else watch the late shows? I was hoping Steven Colbert would be better than some of the others but most of the time he just does the same stupid things the others do. He can do a good interview if he doesn't try to be such a smart a$$. I usually end up watching reruns of something or muting the TV until Seth Meyers is on. He is usually funny and smart.

I think I'll go dig around in the freezer and see if there is anything I feel like cooking. I need to go to town because we are almost out of cat food.

Taking a break in a rest area on my way to Massachusetts. Will be at Salisbury Beach State Park which should not be busy. Got laundry done yesterday and vacuumed but wish I could have a Blue Beacon around here to get outside of RV washed. Grey and cloudy but no rain, thankfully, to drive in.

I'm hoping I'll pass a Blue Beacon when I leave here, Judy, but chances are slim with the route I'm taking. Oh well.

Been awhile since I put a cabinet together. I think the worst was laying out the parts and discovering one missing. Then, a friend put a hitch on the back of my rv for my scooter, and of course, he didn't look at the schematic and left something out. It worked, but taking it off when the time came was near impossible.

Late shows? I never watch them any more ... I don't know most of the people they have on because I rarely watch movies, too ... so it's all a waste for me nowadays. I remember when I loved them.

Afternoon, all!

We are all packed, picked up the rental car (to drive over to the airport) and we'll be on our way this afternoon!! We don't fly out to Dallas until tomorrow morning but it's a very early flight so we decided to stay at the airport Hyatt tonight.

Then tomorrow, we are off to buy "Rosie" from Karen, we are just so excited!!! If anyone is on the Shreveport - Biloxi - Pensacola Interstate route give a shout, maybe we can meet for coffee on our way back to FL.

Still morning in WI - cloudy today but mild. It is supposed to rain here tonight and tomorrow, but we can use it. I am busy packing the trailer for my first trip on Sunday, hard to know what to take. I put stuff in, take stuff out. I figure I will eventually learn what I need once I have done a couple trips.
Mickie let me know hot the Shreveport - Biloxi Pensacola Interstate route is. I was thinking of visiting my brother in Niceville this winter and then taking that route to the west before heading back north.

Mickie, I live about an hour South of Lafayette, La where I-49 connects to I-10 if you happen to stay in that area.
