Oh my gosh!!!! It is sooooo beautiful out there!!!!! :o :o :o
I definitely have to get to the Oregon coast someday. I'll go slow & stop frequently (remember I HATE curvy mountain roads), but these pics are fantastic & I MUST experience this area myself.
Thanks for the inspiration, Tina! Enjoy!

such a pretty area...enjoy the beach rarely get there but enjoy it immensely
I have a picture that I took of a bridge near the coast up in WA the bridge is totally unusable
like not even sure if there was anyway of using it and I think the sign said something like use at your own risk
or something dumb but liked it enough that I took a picture of it and the sign
enjoy WA

Great pictures!!

A couple of years ago RVSue and her canine crew posted pics of an Oregon state park and beach, it was filled with the coolest looking ferns! I've wanted to go there ever since I saw the pictures... but now I can't find the blog post or a way to contact her. Don't suppose you saw a park full of ferns on your travels??

Whoops - I will be making my reservations for July 2016 on Sept 30, not June 30 as I wrote earlier.
Queen - there are ferns all over the Oregon coast - it could have been any number of places. It is really beautiful.

Judi - good to know, I've traveled all over the world and have visited Oregon but never saw that site, it was so beautiful, almost unearthly.

I thought Bandon was a neat town--especially the bakery! ANd I do remember the candy shop.

Lots of great things on the Washington Coast. How far north are you going? You are certainly whizzing right along as I took two months to travel both states!

Love the pics! I'm thinking tGM wants to do the WA and OR coasts when we return from our AK trip at the end of July instead of heading east thru CA as originally planned. The jello life

I love that coastal area. Great to see others enjoying it, too. I have a friend in Astoria, OR - so have visited there many times over the years, and did the entire OR and WA coasts my very first summer rving (2005) and gone back a few times since to different areas. Usually it rains too much (I speak as I've been getting rain, hail, snow, etc in SD this year lol) but usually I luck out later in July, August and early Sept if I plan my visits then. Looks to be a great summer on the coast there this year!

JudyB......I would linger longer along the coast but but..... I have a reservation on a plane leaving for Ireland from Cincinnati about the third week of August and Liz would have to leave without me if I don't get back to Ohio in time. So no I am not parking out at any one spot this part of the trip. Then again I still have some Cascade Mountains to explore while I head back east...... :)

Mickie, rvsue is in Oregon now or she was a week ago. I don't remember if her pictures have had ferns but it's pretty green where ever she is.

Martha

Where she is now is so pretty, she manages to find some gorgeous places!

I've been searching and searching her blog, the one I keep searching for was one of her first forays away from the desert and she was in a park that looked like something out of a very wet fairy tale.

Queen - it might have been Silver Falls State Park, but that one is not on the ocean. It's very lush and green, lots of ferns, and is often very wet! There is a wonderful Christmas festival there every year.
