Morning all
Hopefully it will be MOSTLY sunny Friday here. Really need the grass to dry out to get it cut.
Out and about early this morning, have 2 horses and cleaned my friend Daun's house. Now home for a little bit then to the store. One dog to walk and another to walk/feed her dinner at 5 p.m. Back to horses for their dinner at 6.
This is a big weekend here in our town, annual Canal Days with parade tonight and carnival, beer garden and craft fair on Saturday/Sunday. As my town sits on the I&M canal, thus the name for the festival. I think this might be it's 40th year. I know it's more than 39 yrs. because DH and I got married during Canal Days and while driving through town on the way to our reception the "just married" sign on the back of the car fell off right at the feet of the cop directing traffic through town!
So along with Canal Days it's also our 39th anniversary and Sunday is my MIL's 85th birthday; of course it's also Father's Day! See what I mean when I say big weekend! LOL
I do believe all the baby skunks are now gone; keeping my fingers crossed. We haven't seen the mother for some time and in the past two days the babies have started coming out from under the shed. I think Mom died and the babies are looking for food. Some have died and we have disposed of them. Poor little things but Mother Nature is in charge of this. I sure don't want or need any pet skunks.
Next weekend I will be on the road for just a short weekend trip. DH and I will take Angel down to our club for a bit of camping and fishing. We both need the time away. We have decided to take youngest pup with us, I'm sure hoping that's not a mistake! All other animals will stay home under the wonderful care of my friend and assistant Karen. I am really looking forward to this getaway.
If you're on the road have fun & stay safe. If you're dreaming about the road, enjoy your dreams.
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.
