Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning!

Postby Cedar518 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 7:21 am

Good morning sisters!

Barbzeee is taking some time off, but she is so good of her to leave the door unlocked and the light on!

So,.... coffee is on,... biscotti is out,... and some special peach biscuits are warm from the oven... (my trademark camping breakfast!)

Time for me to tackle some laundry, and all those weekend chores that working girls have. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning, Cedar, and all!

Thanks for making the coffee and providing the goodies----which I will pass on! I plan to do my weekly weigh-in AFTER all my activities today and will post the results in that losing weight thread later! Obviously, however, I will NOT be looking great in my bathing suits in FL! Just, hopefully, a tad better than I would have looked had I not begun this diet thing!

Very cold here last night....perhaps even below zero while I slept, but warming up considerably as the sun comes over the trees. I spied ROBINS here yesterday afternoon! I feel sorry for the poor fools trying to find their favorite meal of earthworms in this frozen-solid ground!

Nothing earthshaking to do today except pack some more stuff in my truck while it's parked in here by the house.

Hope you all have a great Spring Saturday! Share your day with us all!

Hugs to you, Barb, if you are reading this.

Good Morning. Thanks for putting the coffee on; it sure smells good and I'm on my second cup.
Zeee, glad to see you check in on us. Promise no one is being too messy in the kitchen.
No big plans for the day other than to spend at least an hour enjoying the sunshine; probably should dig that big "to do " list out and tackle a chore or two on it. Need to scratch off something in terms of accomplishment for the weekend.
Have a great weekend ladies!

Goooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Ohhhhhhh, Peach Biscuits??? Ohhhhhhh! I do believe I want to try one of those. Maybe even two. Or even three if'n their goooood!!! ;)

Well we have our work cut out for us this weekend. This is the last full weekend of sorting and packing before needing to be out of the house. Next weekend will be the move out. Plus we will have to finish packing up the things that ya can't do without right up to the last day. All the kitchen and bathroom stuff. And will have to make sure that laundry is all caught up by next weekend too. BLECH! YUCK! I hate to pack and move like this. The boxes I have left stacked in my room? I will have to go back thru them and sort again. I have to many of them and need to cut down again. ~sigh~ I have no idea how many boxes Kelly will have?? Plus we will have Kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff to add to the load and of course our camping gear. Good grief!!!

I think this is the weekend too that I will go buy the utility trailer that Kelly and I will need for our trip west. Wish we could have gotten a pickup truck but it just wasn't in the cards at this time. But getting the trailer now will help out David and Jenny too for the move. They can use it to start taking stuff to the other house. Next weekend I will go rent a u-haul truck for one day so that we can get the BIG stuff moved. It will save untold trips with two Blazers and two small trailers. Maybe two trips with the u-haul will do for getting all the furniture, microwave, beds, tv and stand and the washer and dryer. Opps! Forgot all of David's stuff in the cellar. His tools and motorcycles. Yep gonna be very busy the next two weekends. I'll be ready for another vacation!!!! LOL A long one!!!

Gonna be a good weekend tho! The weather for a change is suppose to be beautiful this weekend. And if what is going on outside is any sample? Oh wow. The sun is coming on hard out there for March. Suppose to be in the mid to upper 60's today. Perfect cause we are dragging out the camping gear to make sure it's all grouped and packed in one place. I never did roll up and put away my tent from last year. I was wet so it got stuffed downstairs. I will need to buy a new tarp to cover it whenever I set it up cause the fly never did fit it. I don't think I'm gonna get the chance to get the correct one before now and leaving. They have a Coleman outlet in Pigeon Forge but don't have the time to go. Plus right now I don't want to lay out the money for it. ~sigh~

Ok gonna get off here and get my butt busy. Have lots to do but both kids are sleeping and didn't want to make a racket.

Hope everyone has a great day, a super great weekend. Be safe and have fun.

Love to all

Hey Barbz!!! So happy to see ya peeking in at us. Love them purple tulips!!!

good morning ladies
I'm still stuffed from all the food I ate yesterday, so just coffee for me this morning.
The retirement party was a busy one, and lots of tears shed too. The happy retired
couple got so many gifts, and of course the gifts did not fit in the "trunk" of their
motorcycle, so......they got packed into my little iggymobile and I went to another
retirement party hosted by the rv park they lived in last evening. Fernie, maybe I
was in your neighborhood, out on Ironwood,an rv park called Santa Fe, just north of
Superstition (rd ?) (University)
Today will be back to a routine saturday for me, don't think I've had one of those
in a long time, seems lately I've been real lazy when it came to doing household
chores. I'm gonna have to stop that and nuckle down today.
Ok, I'm off to catch up on the posts and make a few of my own. Laters

Good morning from Flagstaff AZ - seems to be a little cloudy today but the temperature feels nice.
Today Molly and I will drive down to Cottonwood to visit my Aunt, Uncle and cousins - My Aunt has always wanted to meet Molly so I'm taking her with me. they have 2 Jack Russels that Molly met last time we were here - they aren't the best of friends, but I think we can survive a day just as long as I keep a really close eye on Sister, the girl dog - she really doesn't like Molly - the boy dog
Eddie just wants to hump her but backs off as soon as Molly growls. Should be an interesting day !!!
I presume we'll just hang out and talk and hopefully laugh allot. I'm taking some of my rocks from the beach and the polished rocks I "made" for show and tell. Tomorrow I'll go back down without Molly and maybe my cousin Paul and his longtime girlfriend Avis and I can go do some "stuff".
That's it for me - hope you all have a great day !!!

Good Morning gals,
Felix would not let me sleep in and sure enough once I'm up and on the puter he lies down to take his nap!!! Brat!!!
No clouds in the sky so it should be a real warm day. Yesterday was breezy but because it was hot the breeze felt good.
Going out to lunch with some friends today at Julieanna's Cafe, I just love it there so will make sure I take my camera to photograph the area. Our friends are leaving Monday and heading back to Oregon.

In March people start packing up and by the end of April the foothills will be very quiet because everyone that was Snobirding will be gone. My neighbors will water my plants for me while we are gone and then come back in October.

My Aunt, Uncle and Sister are anxious to see us in May and Mom can't wait for us to cross over the mountains to her side in July. I'll try to nab more of her artwork to put in the casita this fall.
Passing on the Peach Biscuits but hope you posted the recipe because I too love Peaches!!

Gosh, Jenny, it doesn't seem that long ago that you were anxious to get back down to your casita and start decorating for Halloween! Are you excited to get back on the road again?

It has been a beautiful day here in Indiana, perfect for yard work. I cleaned out leaves and other debris in part of my front flowerbed. When I first moved here, I had a resident snake who surprised me the first time I attempted to clean out the same bed. I'd never had a close one-on-one snake experience before. We made an uneasy alliance and he or she (Sammy by name) lived in the flowerbed for two seasons. He or she has long gone as has the foliage that hid the little dickens. But I did have fond thoughts of Sammy the snake today as I was raking.
The peach biscuits do sound tempting! Are there any left?
