New to RVing will be traveling with 3 dogs.

Hi
We are new to RVing and have only taken short trips so far with our dogs. In May we take our first long trip. I was just wondering what advice you seasoned Rvrs might have. We have a Cockapoo, a a Ti Shorkie(according to DNA kit testing she is a Yorkie, Shiztu, and Tibetan terrier) and a Jack Russell who is deaf.
I am a bit worried about them barking while we are away from the RV and looking for a good way to keep them leashed or tethered when we are there and they are outside with us .
What travel tips do you have for my worries any other tips.

I close the shades and turn the tv or radio on so Miss Chew can't hear what's going on outside. Don't think she barks, anyway no one has ever complained or said anything. Sounds like quite a houseful, have fun with the crew!

Welcome to the club. I, too, have three dogs. Close the curtains so they can't see out and leave the radio on. The first couple of times I asked neighbors if they barked while I was gone. I also ask for, if possible, a site that is at the end of a row rather than between two rigs. Less activity. I found a great leash that has two retractable leads on it that rotate so they don't get tangled up. Its called a Freedom Leash 2 by Paws Aboard.

I started out with two - have one now. Have never had trouble with barking when I'm not here - but I know my current dog will bark if someone knocks, or gets too close. She often is up in the front window watching for me to return. I got kudos from one park - that when they'd come to read the electric meter, she'd watch and not make a sound. But the one time they accidentally hit/knocked on the side of the rv, she went nuts. Good girl!

As to outside, you might want to consider xpens for the little guys. I don't use them, and some parks don't allow them, but if they'll stay in them, I do prefer them to tying out. I do tie Peaches out - but with one dog, she doesn't get as tangled as I'd imagine three would.
