There is some serious decisions I'm gonna have to start making.. I'm finding myself having some very difficult times.. and losing my patience rather quickly..(Sleep deprivation).
I glance over and there's that sucker .. Sleeping in my bed..what's wrong with his picture..Ugh.. He's 13 and having some difficult times..yeah, well I'm thinking I might not make the next level if I don't start getting regular sleeping hours.. What to do...have to think on this one..that's if my brain will function..HA...good question... HELP.. You say to yourself.."Well this is what you do for your children"...ok, that might work for awhile...but the thought of that cozy bed looking at me..and here I am pounding at the keys and wanting to ..well, let that thought pass through my brain quickly...as I'm doing that I'll take a stroll through the forum...

Echo,,,been there done that one ! Shame though, but hey..there's always the Golden Arches LOL...you'll have that dinner tomorrow...but yeah ya feel like a doo doo head. ...but you're not alone ....

RV Grammy (Lori and Ernie) great pictures of Disney..and yep, you never grow up when ya go there...All kids at heart..

RetiredHappy (Karen) you all look like you had a great time..and yep, them Shrimp look great..as for the Ferry.. I know how you felt..does seem strange ..but really neat... Love them Pelicans..I'd love having them as pets...sure hope they sleep in the evening...LOL

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill) in Guanajuato....awesome town..and great underground and seeing the city you could understand why... Just awesome Caro...and then you might stop in and visit the Sista's in Port A...holy banana... look out on that one...LOL

Mtngal (Diana) is now on wk 4..and the sista's are reporting in.. OutAndAbout (Linda) you'll get there and RV Gal..ouch on the dentist...but a liquid diet..mmm I know a few good liquids that work well...Milk Shakes..always help..make them Light Milkshakes..:)

Well.. I feel the urge to fall out..or fall in bed..and you know I'll make sure the Coffee pot is on (Perking) and the Kettle is Whistling (softly)...have a few goodies not much..Corn Muffins (Toasted) and Cranberry Bread..of course Biscotti... so do sit a spell and let's hear what you all are up too..

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be Safe

God Bless

Good Morning, Barb, and All!

I guess I missed out on something, Barb.....who is sleeping in your bed? Is Joe a 2-footer relative, or a 4-footer? He is 13, you say, so he could be either! If he is a human relative, why is he in your bed and not in his own? And if he's a 4-footer friend, why not move him over?? Anyway, I am sorry you aren't getting the sleep you need---you are so right that sleep deprivation makes a person a physical and mental mess!

Coffee tastes good this morning, after having to wait a half hour as this is is my Fosamax day-----thanks for getting it ready!

Am running a bit late, as I have to allow time to walk through the muck to my truck this morning, so I'll just say, have a fun day, you all, and let us know what's up in your life!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning all, I got my stitches out yesterday and I can actually sit down for short periods of time. Hooray. It's great to have another option besides standing or lying down, first time since March 2nd when I had a very large lipoma removed from my 'lower cheek'.

Barb sometimes you have to think like they tell you on airplanes, mothers put your oxygen mask on first, then see to your children. In order to be able take the best care of your family you have to take care of yourself first. I know it's hard once our little darlings get us trained but they can be re-programed. Good luck.

I'm up earlier than usual, had a draft beer yesterday celebrating St. Patrick's Day and draft doesn't always agree with me. I've had my coffee and toast with almond butter and goat milk yogurt & feeling much better. No sweets for me first thing in the AM or I get what I call the sugar shakes!

Hi all,

Barbz, I see that pesky bee on the bear's nose this morning. Must be what all that oak pollen is doing to us!

Try getting one of these beds for Joe...got one for Roe and he likes it so much I bought another smaller one for the rv.
http://www.petobed.com/

Then, if Joe doesn't like it, at least you can curl up on it and get a good night's sleep!

RV dealer called and said the part is in for my refer...(2nd try, 1st time they sent the wrong part) Of course, can't be done today :x , so taking it in tomorrow. I know God is trying to tell me something here...hmmmm. What is it Lord?

Have a great day, ladies. The pool's open at my house, solar panels have it nice and warm. I think I'll float around on my tube and read today.

Ok, I guess I have you all some what confused...and I guess my weird hours are misunderstood...just a little recap may help you all ...

Joe..and Reba... are my 13 year old Hairless Chinese Cresteds
Abby and Zeke are my Rotties... Abby being 7 and Zeke being 4 well almost 5..

They are retired show dogs..and my kids..(fur babies).. the last of my go round in the dog world after 50 years showing, breeding ..and training ..including my show horses as well... Joe and both Reba are now going through neurological problems and are entering a latten stage of their lives...which I have now had to change my lifestyle to handle their problems... One of which is not being able to sleep normal hours.. They have frequent bouts of trembles and often not able to hold their blatter...Reba wears a diaper...but as you may remember when raising children can cause some irritations..well just like animals..and being she's hairless the skin is very sensitive..as the same case with Joe...he also goes through a howling stage..which at 1 or 2 or even 3 in the am my neighbors wouldn't appreciate..as with having 4 dogs..it gets loud ..although in harmony..:).. So, I comfort them by getting up ..letting them out of their crates..which have comfort beds in and they do have their own room (remember my addition I had put on to my house) and they go out potty and run in to my room and bed...Now that means..when I open their room all 4 go out and all 4 run for the hills (my bed)..hence I log on as they get comfy and write you all a Good Morning...
So I was in that frame of mind this am..just like all of you Venting...so if I put you all on the "What the heck"... it's probably cause most of you ..really haven't followed a lot of the things I write...and that's no biggy

Somedays it's not easy...and others I feel like this is my obligation...as a responsible owner and master of the realm.. I have to endure their good times and bad times...and it's also my sad times as I know their lives on this earth are limited...

I hope I've cleared a few issues up..if not feel free to contact me... as I always can use some moral support ..any which way..
.

My Adventures are limited..My Journey has been decided...now all I can do is wait..

God Bless

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Gonna be a beautiful day out there today. Gods above and below I wish I didn't have to go to work!!! I have been up since about 7:30 this morn, been outside with the dogs, taked a short snooze here at the table while reading email, have eaten my brisket and cabbage (YUM) and now all I want to do is go back to bed and sleep. The thought of taking a 2 or 3 hr nap??? Oh my yes, Please!!! Then I could start digging into some more of the crap that goes with moving. ~sigh~

Barbz, I like that bear. Are you sure Trudy's not down there with you??? Looks like she got some of her googly eyes tacked on there!! He's a cutie for sure.

Finally ate my supper for late breakfast/early brunch. OH MY! It was so yummy. I might take a little bit of it to work with me for lunch.

We are still counting the days off on the calendar. Counting until we are done with that place! What a relief it will be to see the last of that he77 hole. Yesterday I got collared for 14 minutes over on my lunch. Now mind I punched back in 3min early. We get 30min for lunch. Told the sup that I had been doing notes on an account and sending an email to the analyst before punching out for lunch. All she saw was that I had been logged off the phone for 44min. And I got collared for a 14min break when we only get 10min. Same thing doing notes on an acct and I also went to the potty. Pretty bad when ya have to account for the minutes you use going to the bathroom. I hurried the best I could so that I could get as good a break as possible. I finally figured it out. I like my job? :P But I adamantly hate my place of employment!

Ok, I'm dressed and ready. Kelly just shut off the shower so she will be ready in a few minutes. Guess I had better get off here. ~sigh~

Hope everyone has a great day. Stay safe and if the suns out in your little part of the world, be sure and soak up all the rays ya can.

Love to all

Oh boy did you tell a whopper in that post!!!!

Uh huh, we all know what it's like with the furbabies. But for you to put it in writing that you are, master of the realm. Yep, uh huh, we know. Responsible pet owner, Mom and caretaker that is without question. But that "Master" this is up for scrutiny. 8-) ;)

It's rough and we know it.

Much Love to ya Lady

Good Morning! It's hump day!! Going to be a scorcher today and we are off to the movies this afternoon with some friends to go see "Race to Witch Mountain". Going to a theature that we have not been to. If you go on Wednesday you get free popcorn! Free popcorn and $8 for two such a deal!!! Afterwards we'll go out to a early dinner.
Starting to heat up out here in Yuma, casita stays nice and cool inside :D six more weeks and off we start heading North again.

OK ready for my 2nd cup of coffee and a bowl of cereal, only 3 more biscotti so need to put that on the grocery list. Not buying any more meat so we use up all that we have stored in our freezers. When we are at the casita I use that frig instead of the RV one. The freezers are all full though and the casita one has to go into the RV one so it's time to eat it all up and not buy as much now. Wish all RV's had built in fans like the house ones! Food stays SOOOO much fresher!!
Have a good one everyone :D

Barbzee, think quality of life! Neurological problems, bedwetting, howling. If it was happening to ME, myself I mean, I would say its time for me to go. The dogs can't make that decision, but you can. Is he howling in pain? It would break my heart to have to make that decision for Bogie. But I would break my heart FOR Bogie. I know you wish they would just pass peacefully in their sleep. But YOUR quality of life matters too.

Sparkle..

In response to your question regarding Joe's Howling... He's always been an exceptional clean (Male) dog and in his latten years he's having problems holding..although I do have diapers..I don't keep them on when they go to bed...So, hence he has to go..and then there's the I don't want ME out of thy sight factor... So when I put all my critters to bed..Joe lasts a good 3 hours and then begins the singing..and when you have 4..it becomes loud..

His and Reba's neurological problems are due to Mutation breed that they are...as they age these factors show up...and being the gene pool is not a large one to begin with.. It's an inherit factor.. Like when we age..these things happen.. at this point in their lives there is no reason I need to put them down .

There is no way any of my critters will ever suffer, I've had to do it with my horses as well as my cats and dogs..it's part of doing the right thing..no matter how much we emotionally don't want to let go...

I thank you for your concern... My situation is my health plus theirs a very difficult situation and then family matters..it's almost a no win situation...So I have to make choices . What I can handle and I unfortunately at this time have to make some changes Not always a good thing..but I only have so much of me that I can work with..

I'm not going completely away...more like a sabbatical.... This professor needs a rest and in saying that I will miss everyone.. but I'll sneak a peak or two.....

So for you and all that are reading this...I have to take all these issues and work my life around them as they come..and getting through this murder trial is going to be very hard.. Please keep my family in your prayers as we sure will need them..

Again...I'm always here..maybe not physically but spiritually..

God Bless

Zeee

Oh shoot. Now everybodys going to be mad at me. Remember I'm the one who put up with my cat peeing under my desk for a year before she finally went to the Cat House in the Sky. But she was healthy, it was sheer old age that did her in. The reason I posted as I did is that sometimes we need "permission" to go ahead and do what we know should be done. As long as both you and the dogs are happy then I wish them a long life.
